Update: Agghhhhh!

Luckily I can type without looking so I can leave very short notes. Monitor is cooked. Found a new one at Amazon.com (I love them!) for $116. Alas it will not arrive until next week. If I am still sane, I'll be back next Tuesday or Wednesday. If not....

I will try to put Mr. Linky up on Friday so anyone who wants to do wordzzles can still play, but I can't do something that complex in three second flashes so I won't be playing this week.

I miss you all. I miss my computer. I did clean the house a bit yesterday and did some reading. Maybe it's not all bad not having the computer.

Eeeeeeek!!!!!

:( I miss you!

You have snow - wish you could send me some to go with this unbearable cold temps we have.
I'll be thinking about you.

OH my gosh. I'm so sorry. Some things can be worked around - but not a busted monitor! I do hope the weather doesn't slow your delivery and that you love your new monitor!
Meanwhile, books are good - NPR radio is nice, PBS and Discovery have really good shows...and, there's a lot to be said for just zoning out in front of a fireplace and listening to music. Write some letters - STUN your friends when they receive a note in your own handwriting (this is just my fantasy - my friends and family would drop dead if they received something that A. came snail mail and B. wasn't typed!)
I have faith that you will get through this with your usual aplomb!
Of course, by the time you read this, all my "advice" will be unnecessary, because you will be reading this via your NEW MONITOR! YAY!

Dear Raven,
Oh, this was ..shit.
I share your sorrow, and pray that your worries will soon be solved.
I think we are allowed to pray about everything.
If God can heal a human being (and we know He can), it must be a lot easier to heal a machine.
Some months ago our old car stopped in the middle of nowhere late one night. Gunnar is a handyman, so he went out to take a look.
I sat inside praying God to send his repair angle at once.
After a few minutes the car started and did not even have to go a garage doctor.
My best prayers are sent for you.
From Felisol

Oh dear, looks like you had some aggravation indeed. I did smile at the idea of you typing blind. You are good! What size monitor did you get? Love these snowy pictures. I am waiting for some fresh powder... hugs.
