Got caught up in other things last night and forgot about the Daily Reminder, then got up late this morning and a couple of phone calls later, think this will just be a day off. What I have been caught up in is reading and responding to comments on the President's speech at the Martin Luther King Memorial dedication yesterday. They were heart-breaking in their ugliness and racism. Many, if not most, were paid "trolls," but they were truly disturbing and while pretending to honor Dr. King, were laced with hate and racism. Here's my little ceremony... The President's speech and a rousing We Shall Overcome from Joan Baez.
I'm 70 years old going on twelve or sometimes 6, it depends on the day. Then again, sometimes I feel like I'm 110. I'm agoraphobic, permanently disabled. I live an odd life, but a relatively happy one. I have two cats, Merlin and Melissa. They are brother and sister and therefore known (it's a joke) as The Twins. They were 3 years old on May 7th.
