(Please scroll down for the Saturday Wordzzle Challenge.)
Hancock loves Halloween. Almost every kid is accompanied by a parent or both parents. Some Moms dress up too... no fathers that I saw dressed up, but plenty of fathers were out with their kids, which I thought was great. I think I probably had about 70 kids come to the door. All cute and sweet. Photos leave a lot to be desired, but I thought you might enjoy them anyway.

Hey raven this looks like a great time for kids. In India we don't do Halooween, but we do have Holi (the festival of colours) here. Its the official time for us to get really filthy and dirty playng with colours and the onetime when the parents to would be all dirty so noone could yell at us kids for messing up the place. We would be hosed down by my mom before we were allowed to enter the house and we'd roam around for the next ten days with a pink nose and green ears and a red finger :P
Thanks Raven, these were the only trick-or-treaters I saw...well, I guess it could be because I closed the drapes and kept the lights off and jumped in the waterbed and read. There's pretty much no kids on our road any more. Plus if I bought candy I'd eat it all ;o(
I dressed up as a witch one time and scared this cute little girl and I felt so bad ... I tried to explain I was only pretending like she was and having fun...but she wasn't having it. Last time a sweet little girl came rushing up with her dad standing by and tripped over a crack in our cement walk and started screaming, hurt her knee. I gave her LOTS of candy and then I decided to not do the candy thing any more. I did watch The Legend of Sleepy Hollow for the 1st time and a few Munster episodes.
Sorry for the long comment!

Wow what a super array of costumes!
We got quite a few this year, too - but I didn't think to take pictures. Wish I had!
this is fantastic!!
I love the line of kids with the little pink bunny or whatever she was peeking out!!
what fun!
These were the only trick or treaters I saw and I did have the light on. Thanks for the pictures.
You had my wife all excited when she saw they were in Hancock. She assumed Hancock, Michigan. She kept pointing out that it looked like Hancock, Michigan.
In any case those are great pictures of some great kids.
Despite our inviting pumpkin not a single kid stopped by.
What can one expect in a neighborhood where the only political signs are for McCain/Palen and some guy named Rent.
Oh WOW! You are blessed! We got NOT ONE visitor last night. Of course, we never do. I don't even buy candy anymore.... it's crazy... YOU had a great showing though!!!
Hi Everybody,
Glad you got some vicarious Halloween fun. Hancock, NY, I'm afraid, Dr. John... also afraid that if people bothered to put out signs here, most of them are for McCain. I live in mostly Conservative country.... When I lived in NYC I bought candy every year for a long time before I realized that nobody trick or treats any more. When I was with my niece in Mesa, there were some kids but not a whole lot, my next stop in Narrowsburg, NY... the town had a party and didn't allow trick or treating. Callicoon allowed it but not many kids came - at least not where I lived. Hancock, swarms with Halloween. End of long, long post. Now I have to go read wordzzles.
That was wonderful! We don't get kids around here, so it's fun to see some costumes. I love that one of the little girl (a bee?) running. The blurriness of the shot really communicates the urgency to get around and get that candy!!!
Thanks for sharing. One of the things I miss where I live is this kind of activity on Halloween. We never get ANY trick or treaters or see folks in costumes so it was great fun to enjoy YOUR Halloween vicariously ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
Terrific shots!
Living in a neighborhood has the advantage of seeing all these wonderful costumes and the kids look like happy good kids.
I had my two little neighbors - that's it. :(
What great costumes! It all looks so much fun, we don't celebrate it particularly here in the UK.
Loved your wordzzles as always Raven I couldn't take part as I was away but I'll be back on track this week. :)
Looks like a wonderful place for Halloween.
Coffee is on.
I really appreciated these photos, Raven. Out here on the back 40, we didn't get one trick-or-treater. I love the peace and quiet out here, the stars at night, but I do miss trick-or-treaters.
