Ruby Tuesday: Heartless Random Reds

Ruby Tuesday - hosted by Mary/the Teach at Work of the Poet - is here again. Between computer and other problems, it has been a while since I've been able to join in for Ruby Tuesday. You would think I'd have tons of reds piled up but mostly I have snow, snow shadows and more snow. Will Spring ever come? Anyway, I know it's Valentine's week, but I don't have anything hearty or Valentine-like (how sad...) and I don't even have anything particularly good to share. My friend Dan did hang my prayer flags for me so they are blowing in the wind now, but that's about as exciting as it has gotten here. Not to happy with this collection, but....

I love your shots! The hefty kitty is great... and the snow ones make me cold!

Happy RT

(and don't feel bad, my RT is not really V-Day either)

Lovely shots for RT. All that snow is impressive. I love the house with the red chimney. Take care and you and the girls stay warm.

BTW, I love your hanging flags.

I do like the red chimney shot, and all those snow pics make me think of red noses!

Some days you eat the bear, some days the bear eats you. But you got some good ones here, I'm not sure what you're unhappy with. But I know how that goes too. You know what you were going for, didn't get it, so you're the only one dissatisfied.

Happens in the best families.

Personally, I think the snow shots rock! And the cat shot? Priceless.

Dear Raven,
Like the rest I like your photos very much.
They are good and you've made your points!
I guess some days must be worse than others not being able to go out and do the things I take as free given.
The prayer flags were colorful, blowing in the wind.
You have some good friends, and they at least are a blessing, don't you think?

You are in my thoughts and i my prayers.
I have not forgotten to thank that your pc made it through the difficulties.
Hopefully our than you basket will soon be even fuller.
From Felisol

You surely got lots of red!!! Wow!

I think I sense cabin fever, Raven! ;-) At least that's how it's been for me. I had to go indoors to get warmth and color last Sunday (butterfly garden). Otherwise I am just about tired of taking snow pictures!

There was a nice sunset last night, though.

I love it when the prayer flags are new and so crisp and vivid. They age so gracefully. May you enjoy them and help them send prayers for all good things in the world.

Katherine, you do soooooo good finding all these pretty and interesting red things. I've not known of prayer flags before.
And getting your cat to stay sat up there until you got the picture, wow! He (she??) is a pretty cat, I am betting a lot of good company for you.
Finally, don't get that fire too hot or you might melt the pretty snow on your roof. :-)
Happy RT. I am not so creative, just did a little journal work and called it 'Valentine' stuff.

Your flags against the snow backdrop is gorgeous! And so is the tortie kitty on the red boxes!

I love the smoking chimney!
I guess I need a refresher on the prayer flags. Didn't know you hung them outside. They are all hanging there like your own personal rainbow!

I love the prayer flags.
Reminds me that I've been remiss in hanging mine up. I'd like to hang it outside.
Something about the chimney shot-speaks of the carbon imprint we make on winter...

Happy valentine's day!!!

You got me interested in the prayer flags. I looked them up, and according to Wikipedia they are Buddhist in origin? I've seen something similar on a porch nearby.

That is a LOT of snow!

All are excellent winter reds, and I like the red prayer flags. The cat looks regal (don't they all) sitting on top of the red garbage bag boxes. red is re in any and all seasons, and thus perfect for RT!

Happy RT and Valentine's Day! :)

I really like the prayer flags. I think by now everyone's pretty much over winter. Time to bring on spring already.

I have missed coming by, and can't really remember why I haven't. Anyway, the photos are wonderful, as usual. Love the squirrel one a lot....I have a soft spot for them, even if the are programmed to attack everyone's electrical wires in a maniacal way. So, I've been told.

The prayer flags have my interest now. Did you make them or get them from someone? They are very interesting and look great. They look Tibetan. I'm going to begin working on a prayer shawl that I think will be pretty nice.

To make a long post shorter, I've missed you, Raven.

After your disclaimers, we find such great RT shots! The kitty on the hefty bag boxes is just wonderful. And the smoke and chimney is a great shot, if not actually red. Welcome back!
