It's Ruby Tuesday!

Probably nobody has noticed, but I kind of left the planet for a while. I've really missed Ruby Tuesday. Haven't taken a lot of pictures during my journey into the abyss, but I'm going to post some not very good ones anyway. Mixed bag. A couple of red touches in my beautiful new kitchen... well it's 9 months old now, but I still rejoice in it every time I walk in there, so... Also a sort of blurry picture of my flowering quince which, given our bizarre weather here, is already in full bloom. It always blooms pretty early, I guess, so maybe it's not the quince that's ahead of schedule but me that's behind. In any case, I love this bush, as do hummingbirds and other birds... a little magical spot in my back yard.

I can never decide whether to put cations
above or below pictures.... one of my red
pots on my beautiful new cabinets/counter tops...
and there's a red hand on the clock if you look closely.

Shannon likes to bake from time to time. They
have a giant
Cane Corso Mastiff at her house
who makes it very difficult, so she comes over here.
She's very fond of sprinkles.

The flowering quince. More pink than red, but...

HAPPY RUBY TUESDAY! HAPPY SPRING!

Just realized that I'm so out of practice that I forgot
inventing and hosting Ruby Tuesday. Thanks, Mary!

That's what that bush is! They have them all over the place here. Never knew what they were called. Welcome back!

I'm laughing about the captions, I can never decide either and sometimes I do both and then I think it's confusing

I can never decide where to do the captions either and I am never consistent! I probably drive people nuts! I followed yours just fine, though.

I think you may have missed our move and our new home. I have the same counter top and our cupboards are very much alike. I, too, adore my new kitchen and never walk into it without feeling blessed.

Your kitchen looks just beautiful.
Imagine, I have followed it since it was just a vague hope and a sketch.
I'm so happy for you.
Also it's nice hearing from you again. I have missed your heartfelt visits and profound thoughts about everything under the sun.
Never a dull moment.
The quince; does it have thorns and fruits later in fall?
It's looking like a bush outside our terrace with beautiful flowers,-impossible to pick though.

Thanks for caring, dear Raven. What makes me fragile, is the feeling of not being able to help a young girl, sent abroad to be forced to marriage.
Shes the eldest of four sisters treated as merchandise.
Of course I am thankful if you will pray for her.

Hi Raven! It's been so long since I've visited here. I'm off and on for Ruby Tuesday, etc. so I miss a lot of stuff. Your new kitchen looks fabulous. I'd rejoice, too!

Love the red pot and the clock with a red hand. Red hand is a good idea for a clock as we can see the time even from a distance.
My first time to see such kind of bush. Isn't it that ruby red has a touch of fuchsia pink?

You posted for Ruby Tuesday! YEAH -that's wonderful!
I remember when you still had those pans in the box for Anna's Project Red I think. :)
The red looks so pretty in your new kitchen.
Your quince reminds me of azalea. I guess I'll google it. It's lovely.
A caption can be above, below, or beside a picture. I prefer it below. Above to me signifies a title - just me.

You outdid your self one more time! These are great pictures with their stories.
We have flowering quince around here, but not a whole lot.
Happy RT! Thank you for peeking in on mine. :)

I did notice, Raven. And I'm glad you are back!
It was nice to get a comment from you.

I remember the hummingbirds used to visit the quince bush in my mother's side yard.

I also can never decide where to put the captions. Of course in my biz (newspapering) it's below or sometimes on the side with a more creative layout, but on my blog I often put them above to lead into the photo!

I'm glad i'm not the only one who isn't sure. I see our friend Dianne isn't sure either. ;-)

I need to get my hummingbird feeders out now. I bought food this week but haven't made it to the next step.

Raven, I didn't know you'd gone missing, since I've been away too, but I'm glad to stumble in here on such a brilliantly Ruby Tuesday. I love your kitchen too. And that flowering quince! We've had such a long winter, even though the temps are mild, we have very little flowering in our yard. Yet. I keep watching...
