hi lone beader - not sure... hawk or a crow... I was so pleased to catch it... I swear they see me pick my camera up and wait for me to be ready and they off they go...
I forgot to tell you that one of Tom and Ian's favorite games is deciding what animal different clouds look like. It's a great game! I'll have to have Ian look at this post and give his analysis!
Robert... thank you... I like how he's (don't know why I think of the bird as a he) centered in the break in the clouds. Sometimes luck is with us, I guess.
napaboaniya - thanks. I swear the birds tease me... every night as they start circling, I grab my camera and off they go out of range or sight. I put it down and back they come... and so on.
Pamela - thanks... you are probably right... I think someone esle suggested turkey vulture too.
Andrea - I've gone from hardly any pixels and no zoom to 8.5 pixles and 10x and now I want MORE!!! I was so delighted that I caught this guy... and so nicely centered in the cloud.
snoopmurph - thanks... the cloud game sounds like fun. I look forward to hearing what they come up with. Oh - and I have a lot more cloud photos. I'll send you some if you'd like.
Thanks also for visiting with me. Also thanks for the prayers for my soldier son. He is supposed to come home in May and we can hardly wait. We are so proud of him... but so ready to get him home! Blessings to you!
Ack! I'm falling behind in your posts...I'll catch up and comment on them this weekend...running late...must go...great shot, by the way! Talk with you soon.......
I'm 70 years old going on twelve or sometimes 6, it depends on the day. Then again, sometimes I feel like I'm 110. I'm agoraphobic, permanently disabled. I live an odd life, but a relatively happy one. I have two cats, Merlin and Melissa. They are brother and sister and therefore known (it's a joke) as The Twins. They were 3 years old on May 7th.

I love this image. The bird looks so free.
Looks like a buzzard. Ugly birds up close, but beautiful in the sky where they can soar for hours without flapping.
hi shrijnana - doesn't it look like so much fun to do that? I love the way they float and twirl and look like they are just high on life.
shannon - thanks... you are probably right... I love to watch all those big birds fly and dance in air.
cool! good capture. :) thanks for stopping by my site.
I love that shot..
Nice capture of the bird soaring in the skies :)
Clouds are so very peaceful.
I believe your winged fellow is a turkey vulture.
That is really cool! It's hard to get a good pic of a flying bird...they're fast! :)
Yup, it's totally cool.

That is a cool catch. You were lucky that day.
thanks vixen, it was pure luck... and a willingness to point the camera at a blank sky and hope something would fly into it.
