Shadow Shot Sunday

It's time for Shadow Shot Sunday. Afraid there are lots of snow shadows again. This winter has been relentlessly bleak. There has been no melting of the snows at all, though today promises to be warm for the first time in forever. There is hope for melting and there is hope for Spring. This week I've seen some birds other than the crows.... one I didn't recognize, a woodpecker, and yesterday a blue jay and a cardinal out back. I'm so sick of the whiteness, that I decided to go into my photo "archives" and add some reminders that there are other seasons and that my world will have color again in a month or so.

Shadow Shot Sunday hosted over at Hey Harriet's blog and if you like shadows (as I do), check out all the wonderful posts featuring shadows of all kinds.

Happy Sunday! May all your shadows be beautiful.

I don't blame you for wishing colour back into your world. I enjoy looking at all these snowy pics but I'm glad I don't have to experience that kind of cold weather. Yikes! You've shared such beautiful shadow shots. Hope spring arrives quickly for you :)

I was sick of snow after two weeks. Hope yours starts melting soon!

Love the photo archive shots! A happy reminder of warmer weather.

I hate to brag too loudly, but I have only one 6"x6" patch of snow left in my yard, with 60 degree weather and more on the way, I'm euphoric...yet still weary...winter ain't over till it's over!

It is bleak and I've just about hit my threshold of tolerance for it.

But the sun does shine occasionally and treat us to lovely shadows on pristine snow. I'm thankful for that, at least.

I always look at the photos, then go back and read the writing, so the sudden Spring at the end of your winter was startling.

The some seasons do spoil us for the rest. I wonder what it's like to always live in snow, or just one season? It must be odd.
Happy SSS!

To answer PJ-to live in almost one season (warm/sunny/scorching) is a little boring. While I don't enjoy cold weather very much, I do miss seeing snow. I welcome the opportunity to visit it in photos for now.

Very nice photos!!

Wow! when you see your seasons like that, there's quite a contrast. I love the snow, but I guess I don't live in it, so I understand where you're coming from with being sick of seeing white. Your shadows shots are wonderful as always :)

The third snow photo has a very interesting shadow. It reminds me of making hand shadows.

The contrast between seasons really highlights the colors each season.

Great snow shots! I wouldn't worry about repeating the snow theme. It is what it is outside and we must do our best. So, great job!

Have a happy week.

Very impressive shadow shots. But it was also good to have the color and the feel that the snow will end.

Wished we could get "sick" of the snow! We only get a tease of winter weather here in the South. Great shots, all of them, the snow and green! :)

I don't if I would be all that much into snow if it didn't sparkle.

Coffee is on.

I almost hate to tell you that all my snow has melted in the last two days of near 60 degree weather.
I miss it. I know. :)
No more snow shadows for me which means I will have to look harder for next week.
I love the cardinal shadow - that is cool and I love the simplicity of the last shot.

Yes, I added Shadow Shots last week for something different but I don't know how long I'll find something. The snow made it easy.
