Guess What I Did? Ruby Tuesday

Well, after months of not joining in, I think I'll join in late today for Mary's (Work of the Poet) wonderful Ruby Tuesday because.... I went outside and sat on my new front deck's bench. Not the most comfortable bench in the world, but I was able to do it. Stayed out for 30 minutes and took some pictures. I have truckloads of Ruby photos waiting to put up, but for today, I'll just go with what I took a few minutes ago. Yippee! I went outside! Granted, some of these have barely any red in them, but I took them OUTSIDE... and they have touches of red. I'm still shaking, but I'm pretty happy.

My neighbor's tail light

Is that a turkey?

A roof down the hill from my house

Neighbor's friend's tail light
ok, lots of tail lights, but I've been inside for a long time

neighbor's mailbox

temperature from a distance

another mailbox

And then there are the red squirrels... maybe a stretch for ruby,
but there is some red on the wood in some of the pictures
and they're just really cute - and I took them OUTSIDE.

HAPPY RUBY TUESDAY!

WOW! Congratulations! We are all cheering for you! 30 minutes is a DARN good start. I'm so excited that I'm the first one to see this blog post and get to say "WOOOOHOOO!". And the squirrels DEFINITELY count -- they're too cute not to! You must have animal magnetism because they pose for you like they never do for me!

Oh, and I forgot to tell you. The squirrel pics are great. I am sure they qualify for Ruby Tuesday because of the red paint on the board.

WHOOOOOO HOOOO! **HIGH FIVES RAVEN!** This is exciting! Maaaaaaaan! Maybe you should have asked them to build a DECK instead of a ramp! (decks are just rooms outside, ya know?) LOOK at all that stuff you haven't seen for a long time! You can see a LOT of STUFF from your little bench! How coooooool is that!? And those squirrels ARE adorable!

Dear Raven,
What wonderful news.
You made it.
And made some stunning squirrel pictures as well.
I'm so happy for you. I think none can really imagine been imprisoned without even a daily walk in the yard for such a long time.
I have bled with you, but now I rejoice with you.
A great step for (wo)man more important that that of Armstrong forty years ago.
Thanks for sharing the good news.

Hi Raven,
Nice to know you and thanks for stopping by my blog. To answer your question, the Knock Out Roses aren't very fragrant. But I think their beauty make up for that.
I love your RT post. Its not always size that matters. All red counts.
I could feel your joy at being able to spend time outside. After reading some of your other posts,
I think you are a very intresting lady. I would like to follow your blog if thats ok.
I wish you great health and many blessings!
Pam

I am not impressed by the red headlights of your neighbor's car, but very much by the little red squirrel ! it's so cute ! Usually in the States they are bigger and grey, but this one looks like ours here, little and red furred !

Raven, that's so wonderful! What an incredible feeling of accomplishment you must have, and what a treat for you to be able to photograph from outside - no windows in the way! I couldn't be happier for you.

Happy RT! And welcome! It is good to see you again. The first thing I thought of was that remodeling was being done on your home.
So I scrolled down, it seems to be coming along fine with a few hitches. Yes, I would have them move the sink down. We have a pedistal and it is 31" high at the top of its rim. It is anchored into the concrete and then the tile sits up onto it so that makes it a little lower.

Your red squirrels are soooooo cute, they must be your pets?
It is good to see some old friends here now. I have stopped doing SkyWatch and Wordless Wednesday as they got too big for me to keep up with my reading.

Forgot to mention that I am glad you could get outside. That has been a time coming but now it will be so nice for you. I am happy for you. It even helps your blogging because you can take outside pictures. Great!

Great photos. Like just about everyone else, my favorites are of the squirrels, but then, I am a sucker for any furry face.

Congrats on your adventure in the wilds of the outdoors.
