Wordless Wednesday: Stumped and More Stumped

Yesterday was a very rough day. My computer crashed. Luckily I have a very gifted friend (Hi, Nate!) who dedicated his entire day to rescuing everything (well almost everything... I lost all my pre new camera photos and some of the new ones including a picture of a cardinal I was very happy about. Sigh.) Anyway, he did all the work, but I'm still feeling tired and disoriented and I can't make up my mind what to do for Wordless Wednesday, which is clearly also becoming quite wordy. I was going to just do the tree stumps, but... then... I couldn't decide because there were some other things too and so stumped which was originally going to be tree stumps is now tree stumps and other stuff.

I love stumps! That is also the first time I've every seen those faces outside of a store setting! Please take a look at my darling son and read some previous posts about Quorn, TP and the Green It! Carnival. Make Earth Day every day and check out my blog! Happy WW!

The last stump is amazing. Fantacy and creativity.

Great WW entry

I love the stump face too!

Hehe... that last tree stump is way cool!

And, I am absolutely terrified of computer crashes. It would take me months and months to restore even half of the stuff I got on there...

I hope you got the most important things still.

sorry about your crash! Those are scarey for sure...makes me shutter actually. :(
Love the face in the stump. My trees are still in the toddler stage but when they grow up I'm going to get them some faces....cuz I name my trees ya know...
We have Arthur Ashe...TR the Twisted Redbud and Rambull the burch. :)
A wee bit of tom foolery goes a long way....yes?
enough silliness for today.

Hey there! Love the stumps! (I have a similar face on a tree in my back yard! Love it!)

Your camera is awesome! As is the owner! Hope you're feeling a little more like yourself now.

I can relate to computer problems. Nothing tests my equanimity like a misbehaving computer. I love the photos, especially the leaves and the way the light reflects through them. The last stump reminded me of a stump in Maine that was designed to look like the Statue of Liberty. This stump wouldn't be in Maine, too, by any chance?

You're never stumped for something wonderful to share. I love the stumps but I really love the flowers and - is it cabbage leaves? I'm hopeless about what things are called.

sorry about the crash. I've lived through a few and it is awful!

green me - thanks for stopping by. I think I'm done sulking and feeling sorry for myself so I'll pop by and visit shortly.

toraa - I thought it was cool. I almost never leave my house but I took that on one of my rare ventures into the big world a couple of years ago.

susan - thank you

tt - Rambull the Burch is my favorite name. I suspect trees like being named.

hi Kim - shucks... you made me blush. I'm still in a pretty dark mood. Just wallowing in it at the moment. Cold, tired and out of sorts. I'm sufficiently cranky that both cats are keeping a low profile. Hopefully sleep tonight will bring the real me back.

shrijnana - Thanks. The stump with the face is on a back road in Hancock, New York (middle of nowhere). That's the Delaware River in the background.

hi dianne - I don't know what that plant is. I am garden challenged. Mercifully my little house came with things that don't need my assistance. Those leaves are the same plant whose shoots I posted coming out of the straw of it's previous growth.

r.e.h. - Thanks. Fortunately Nate can practically build a computer from scratch. He took it home with him and managed to rescue almost everything. I did lose a bunch of my older photos which has me a touch depressed, but live will go on, I guess. My computer is now all updated and speedy. I don't know why I've spent the day feeling depressed. Sigh.

I am sorry to hear about your computer and thanks to Nate for getting you back to us! I'd be unhappy too-it is stressful to think of losing our computers-the gateway to the world, plus our lives documented.

The tree stumps are great!

Great shots of stumps. Was going to post one myself! I really like the leaves. Hostas or Lily of the Valley? Not a plant person!

snoopmurph - a bit late replying... I'm still mourning some of what I lost. This too shall pass, though and it could have been much worse.

timtim - thanks. Not sure what the plant is. Not a plant person either - except that I enjoy looking at them.
