Quasi Wordless Wednesday:
View from my Desk - Looking out my Front Window

As some of you know, I am profoundly agoraphobic. All my photos are taken from inside the house. In past weeks you've seen views from my back door. Here's a bit of what I see through the window from my desk. I included the squirrel even though he's a bit fuzzy, because he's so darned cute. This is because my windows REALLY need washing and anything taken into the sun looks like it's being seen through mist. Hoping to correct that soon. I am so lucky in my view from the front of the house. My neighbors' yard is like a beautiful park.... or at least I think so. Some of you may remember how the birch tree in back has perfect eyes - well does anybody else notice the face on the tree in the middle photo? And does anyone besides me think my blue jay has only one leg?

Hey, you got blossoms at the moment. And that tree does have a face - it looks a little sad, poor thing! Beautiful photos again. Thanks for posting them. :)

I noted that you're 60 going on 8. I used to say I was 50 going on 16. I certainly feel younger on the inside.

Enjoyed the photo gallery! I wish we had Blue Jays here. We have Stellar Jays - but they mostly stay in the mountain foothills.

I'm also like you when its cold. i just look through my window. the nice thing is we then to concentrate more and see things clearly little detail like the face on the tree, i see it & i also think it one legged.
You have beautiful photos.

Wow, that looks nothing like what CCR describes
although I guess there are happy creatures dancing on the lawn
So, you are afraid of angora sweaters?
Oh wait
that Agoraphibic not Angoraphobic
big differance hugh?
anymore it seems the most reasonable of all phobias if that makes any sense

Love your nature pictures...don't you like to watch squirrels and birds...they are fun. I agree with your previous post about war...I don't understand the need to waste energy in senseless killing and destruction.

Raven: You are a fantastic photographer! :) Since I am just waking up with my first of two cups of java, I mistook today for the Wordwizle. See? We're becoming spoiled! :)

I did notice the face in the tree as I scrolled through the pictures before I read your comments! Great shots.

I'm glad you have such amazing views from your place of refuge!

I hope you get a chance to check out my WW post for today!

Just Some Thoughts

How lucky you are to have such wonderful views from the various directions around your house! All I see on 3 sides are houses (2-story monstrosities 6 feet from my own) and the alley out back … so my view from inside is just of my front yard. Your camera is amazing. I appreciate you letting me know what it is and where you purchased it. I need a new laptop first, but I’ve definitely added a new camera to my ‘list’ of future acquisitions.

Today I've shared things I've learned in the 3rd session of my beginning Photoshop Elements class ... at SacredRuminations and Small Reflections ... so I hope you'll drop by to see. Maybe I’ll get around to this week’s OSI on Friday when I do Haiku anyway?
Hugs and blessings,

You got some great shots through your window Raven, much better than I would take outside! The jay certainly looks like it's only got one leg to me too.

Those are great photos! I agree about the face on the tree - too funny; maybe you can make him smile. Yes, the blue jay really does appear to be one-legged. The squirrel is so sweet.

Happy WW! :D

Those are lovely Raven. That flowering tree is so pretty and that last shot is wonderful.

I think your blue jay does look like he only has one leg.
