I like the one with the yellow flower. The bird found a good rest spot :) The flowers in the background really beautify the picture as well.

What a lot you can see out of the back door !

In the last one the bird seems to be playing "hide and seek" !! Liked the one with the bee as well.

Happy WW :)

Raven, you've captured the birds and the bees! In fact, the bee photo is my hands-down favorite!

Enjoy your view!

Yes, I envy you. But how far is it to get ice cream and videos?

Nice Shots!

Di said...

Very nice, that would make an amazing spot to have coffee on a sunday morning...watching the mist clear.

If that's the backyard, what's the front yard like?

Susan said...

Another lovely set of photos. I always love your birds.

Shrijnana said...

Once again, I marvel at the place you live, and your ability to capture it in pictures.

Raven said...

clarence - thanks. I truly am lucky. I live in a very small house with a pretty small yard but because of how it's situated, I have amazing views...

leonard b - thanks

leonard - it is... and since I'm not able to leave the house, it's an extra special blessing to have such a visual feast.

snap catch and carin - thanks it really is quite a precious gift... the view from my front window is my neighbor's huge yard - which is like a lovely park. How lucky can I be?

When do I move in?!? Happy WW =)

Raven said...

napaboaniya - I love that little bird. I had a better shot (well it would have been if I hadn't cut the top of his head off). I'm hoping he'll land there again.

jams o donnell - It's a sweet little house and yard.

shubd - I think the birds are trying to torment me sometimes. I keep missing wonderful shots... By the time I get the camera focussed they flit off. I think that crow has a nest in the big pine next to that one. I'm longing to get a better shot of him/her.

maya - thanks

malena, willthink4wine - thanks. I think it's so cool that I can zoom in on those bees from the house. It's fascinating to see them up close through the camera... and without fear of being stung.

stacey, nina, mariposa - thank you!

Raven said...

marsha - thanks. I was so sick last week and nothing in my life was going right. I like these better too.

meg - it's not that far for videos and ice cream but I'm homebound and nobody delivers so it might as well be a million miles. Fortunately there's Schwan's and netflix.

di - the mountains are kind of hard to see sipping coffee - especially since Angel cat HATES it when I sit at the door taking pictures. She jumps on my shoulder, climbs all over me, then goes up onto the top of the refrigerator and howls. She prefers being the center of the universe herself.

nino - MY front yard is very tiny and as weed-infested as the back. Fortunately for me (as is true in the back - most of the view belongs to other people) my neighbors across the street have a huge park-like yard that I get to look at all day.

susan - thanks. I'm so awed that I have a camera that lets me catch the birds. Of course now I want an even better one. How greedy is that?

shrijnana - thanks. It awes me that I have a home of my own and one that offers me such big and small miracles. My back yard and the views from the back door make my eyes happy.

starrlight - It is pretty, isn't it? Delaware County, NY has lots of cheap houses with good views. No jobs and some flood issues, but lucky for me, I live on high ground.

What a lovely view you have out your back door … and what an excellent camera you must have to capture images like the birds you’ve shared here. I’m surrounded by HOUSES until I walk the block and a half to the ocean ;--)

Thanks for visiting my almost wordless OSI posts this morning already. I’m doing my best to catch up since I have a window of time right now, but Molly wants a walk so I’ll be taking a break soon.
Hugs and blessings,

You take the most amazing photos. It's like the love you feel for all the outdoors just comes through the camera.

hi sarah - thanks

storyteller - I have a Canon Powershot SX100 with a 10x zoom. Got it on sale from Amazon.com about 2 months ago. Up to 8.5 megapixels from 1.5 on my last camera. I'm in heaven but I wish I could have gotten 15 X zoom and maybe even more megapixels. After I win the PCH.

simone - thanks. I really am blessed. Thanks for visiting.

casdok - thanks. Nice to see you back.

vixen - thanks... it really is amazing how much I can see from inside my back door.

allison - thanks

urban thought - I'm really enjoying this Spring, though it has been absurdly cold. Looks good, though.

carletta - thanks for your visit

phylameana - thanks so much

kate - thanks... it really is a miracle to me every time I look out the back door.

Raven said...

sarah - thanks for your return visit. I thought your photos were beautiful.

carrie - aren't those flowers pretty. Everything got mowed today. I know it had to be done but it kind of broke my heart.

robert - thanks. Yes. There's actually something that pulls me away from the computer. I'm having fun sitting there. Drives my cat Angel crazy, though.

sarahc&hearts - thanks for visiting. I'll be sure to drop by your place shortly. Agoraphobia is a bummer, isn't it?

doubledeckerbusguy - I like your compliments. Stunning and breathtaking are good words. Thank you so much.

hi joyce - thanks. What a nice thing to say.

dianne - you're back!! and with such a wonderful kind compliment! Thank you.

i envy you... when i look out from our windows, all i see are buildings!

"The hills are alive with the sound of music"...that song kept playing in my grape while I was looking at your pics. Beautiful.
I loved the tree stump with the bird!

Raven said...

betchay - the city has its virtues. I lived in NYC for 33 years. It has it's own beauties - and museums and restaurants in all flavors that deliver. I miss that.

tt - I think that little gray bird was flirting with another bird though I didn't see one. He was turning in circles and puffing up and trying to cut a dashing figure for someone.

Diana said...

Your back door seems like the wardrobe to Narnia. It's an endless world of beautiful landscape and magical creatures.

Raven said...

Hey, diana - what a cool comment. It really is pretty magical. It's been mowed now. I really miss the weeds and wild flowers. He cleaned up the big old dead branch at the back too. Sigh. Oh - remember that someday my little kingdom will be all yours since you helped me purchase it, awesome niece that you are.
