Mostly Wordless Wednesday: Lots of Birds and Critters

Sorry. Got to stick in some words. Some of these pictures aren't very good, but the scarlet tanagers are so rare - at least for me - that I had to put them in. Same with the little black and white woodpecker. The flicker was too far away too, but I thought the yellow on his wings was too interesting to pass up. The last blue jay is blurry, but isn't that pose just too cool?

I'd also like to ask - I know this is rude - that you check out the post below this one if you have an extra minute. It's photos of the process of cutting down my 60-foot pine tree. I found the process fascinating and I took a zillion pictures... I know it's WW and everyone is busy, but I think it's something few of us get to see in our life times. I would have used it for WW but it was even wordier than this post and I had all these blue jay pictures...

Not wordless at all, but absolutely gorgeous pictures raven, blurry or not, that last one is really really beautiful!
Loved the cardinals in your Ruby Tuesday post too!
I did take the time to look at the pictures of the tree, here below, like you say, having to say goodbye to a tree is indeed a sad farewell!
The memes made me chuccle too!
Loved how you did three alter ego's!

Birds, chipmonks, rabbits ... where do you live? And can my camera and I come visit? I want to take pictures like this!

Hi Raven. Great photos!!! I love all your wild critters. I noticed that all the photos were wordless, even if the post wasn't... hahaha.

Thanks so much for all the visits you've been making to my blog lately. Love it!!

Love your apologetic words...they make your photos dance! My favorite is Mr. Blue Jay who is turning his head to look at you. It's the ninth down, right under the yellow butterfly. I enjoy the bunny, too.

Gorgeous pictures, all of them!! I don't get to see any of the birds around here so this is truly an eye candy :)
Happy ww!

Sometimes it worth the story, so don't think twice about it.

Great photos. I can see why you had the need to tell about them. Thank you for the not-so-wordless info. :-)

Happy WW!!!

Great photos, regardless of the technical analysis! Us city folk don't get to see this stuff IRL much anyway.

I love your "critter pictures". As you know, I'm a wildlife rehabber when I am in Florida and these pictures are making me homesick for my "babies"--especially the baby BlueJays who are a riot. Great pictures.

Love the photo of the red cardinal against the tree. Very striking. Happy WW.

I don't mind the words - in fact I appreciate your knowledge of all the critters. I don't even know the names of many, so it's nice to learn a little something. :D

I'm just amazed by the variety of creatures you have around you, and always enjoy your photos. I love that last one with the wings opened.

I also don't think it's at all rude to ask for us to look at your other post. I'm off to do it now. :D

I enjoyed all your ‘critter & bird’ photos (and the wordz too) but the last one is my favorite today.

Raven,
I'm glad you included all of these. They are good, and they introduce me to birds I never saw before. So thanks.

These images capture the moment beautifully.

Wow, you've got some serious wildlife going on! Great shots. I miss seeing chipmunks. All we have are annoying squirrels.

Thanks for commenting on my site. Happy WW! :)

The robin photo is outstanding (profile facing left). I have seen some waterfowl in that post that the blue jay is holding - I don't know what they jay is doing, but the water fowl are drying off their wings.
