Quasi-Wordless Wednesday: Critters, Birds, a Flower and a Rainbow

The back yard has been kind of quiet this week except for lots of rain, hail and other things of that sort. Even the Robins and the Blue Jays have been pretty scarce. Still, I had visits from a nice bunny who hung out by the porch for a while and posed quite graciously and the other from a rather nervous woodchuck who also hung out for a while after one of our rain storms but wasn't the most cooperative poser.

This poor guy was very wet and trying to find shelter.

And this brave little robin was REALLY REALLY wet. I think he's just adorable.

I have some almost scary close-ups of this guy and numerous pictures of his butt. He tortured me by being right there and still hard to photograph. Still, it was a nice visit.

I put the rainbow in because I had one in skywatch last Thursday and it seemed to make people happy. This is a different rainbow a week later. There must be some convergence of elements in that spot because this is the third time in 5 months that I've seen a rainbow there.

Wow Raven - lots of photos!
I think the bunny is just adorable.
The last one of the woodchuck standing is wonderful. Thanks for reminding I took a photo a couple weeks ago of one and forgot.
Don't you know that God sent the rainbows to you. I have a wonderful friend who tells me that. :)
Thanks for the addition about the tingshas. They really do have a wonderful musical tone. (Yes, I came back to it.)
Have a great day my friend!

Hi Raven, I too vote for that cute bunny rabbit. You'd better go see what is at the end of that rainbow, it may be your special one! :-)
Did you know that no two persons see the same rainbow?
Happy WW! Come see if you could find YOUR bike on mine. [It is on the 'Little Photo Place.']

Raven, I just love your Mr. Rabbit! One of my sisters has wild rabbits every evening in her backyard and she keeps them well-supplied in carrots. I sure so miss the ones I saw every morning driving around the lake to work everyday when I lived in central Florida.

Boy has it ever been a long time since I have seen a woodchuck. Rabbits I got but no woodchucks. I like all of your photos and it looks like you must have had some rain. I like the rainbow too.

Carver! Those pictures of the groundhog and the bunny are PRICELESS! Absolutely AMAZING! We have both in our yard, but darned if I could EVER get that close to them - even with a foot long lens! Geeez! I'm WOWWED!

OOPS! I meant RAVEN! *blushes* I forgot who's blog I was on! OUCH!

Could I interest you in a groundhog for your collection? I know of one that needs to be relocated. He could be relocated to you and you can take all the pictures you want. What's your mailing address? ;-)

Great Photos and interesting commentery on the animals in your back yard. You see more wildlife in your suburban back yard than I do at my cabin on the Noatak River in bush Alaska.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my photo.

You never cease to amaze me with the ‘critter photos’ you capture regularly. Love the flower & rainbow too. The critters I tend to see here in my little beach community in So Cal are TOURISTS trying to escape the heat. I’m almost wordless at Sacred Ruminations this morning … multi-tasking with OSI Week 24 … reminiscing about Molly’s puppyhood.
Hugs and blessings,

Those are fabulous pictures. I like the one of the bunny, still. The rainbow is trying to tell you where the pot of gold is hiding.

So many adorable animals all in one place... I just mostly get squirrels and birds. We had a lot of rain here this week too so even those critters have been scarce the past few days.

What a great set of photos. I like the look of "Ooops, busted!" on the rabbit in the last one.

Great pictures, I liked the blue jays especially.

Thanks for dropping by, and have a great week!

I love your critter and bird pictures. ;-) I think my favorites for this week are the squirrel and the bird picture just below the squirrel one.
