Photo-less Kitchen Update

Just thought I'd let the renovation followers know that they guys worked today from 8:30 am until 8:30 pm. The bathroom has a new ceiling and the kitchen is mostly finished... well, sort of. It's beautiful even as it is. I wish I could show you. The girls are now allowed to explore and I can use my oven again if I want to, which is nice.

Tomorrow someone comes to measure for the counter tops and that apparently takes 2 weeks normally but there's a slim hope that it might only take a week. The sink and plumbing won't happen until the counter tops are installed. Not sure when the linoleum will be installed. Soon, I hope. I'm really looking forward to that.

I can't say enough good things about the Powell Company. Anybody in this part of the world needing construction or remodeling , call them. They are polite and thoughtful, they work incredibly hard and they do beautiful work. They are based in Oneonta, NY.

That's the news. My camera remains broken. Recharging the batteries in hope that that will kick past whatever is fried, but I think it's not likely. I just hope it's an easy cheap fix. Replacement for this one is $229. Sigh. Something will work out.

Glad they are a reliable company. It's hard to find those sometimes. Good luck with the camera. I'll miss your photo updates.

I am glad the renovations are going well. I miss your camera. What is the make and model of the camera you have now?

Hi... thanks... I have a feeling that once these cameras fry they aren't that easy to fix but hopefully I'll be wrong, though I don't know where to take it here in the middle of nowhere. Quilly, it's a Canon Power Shot SX 100IS. 8 megapixles and 10X zoom.

My digital camera is a different model, but it has had to be repaired once. I had to send it back to the company, and they were very generous in their repair terms. It was $15. It surprised me how willing they were to just take care of the customer. It was kind of a pain to have to wrap and send it, etc. but worth it in the end. I hope that is your experience too.

Even without pictures it's nice to know the job continues to get down. I know it looks wonderful. You were tell us if it didn't. :)
Sure hope the batteries are the answer to the problem.
Hang in there, as you said, something will work out.
