Some great shots here! I love the weed through the weathered wood and this last little birdie the best.

I have a couple of things for you at my place - rest easy - these are painless.(read no work) :)

Very nice pics that show a lot of heart in your subjects. Enjoyed the bunny a lot. You talked about it during Project Black and it was good to see it.

I like the weed and the wood; the tree stump dappled with shade, the close up of the burgeoning buds, and the last little bird the best -- but they all are marvelous.

Mine won't go up until midnight Hawaii time, which is 6 a.m. for you.

You have an amazing back yard!

The last two pictures are my favorites, particularly the second to last - I love the backwards curve of the lines. You did a great job with the composition.

I;m with Carletta, the weed through the planking is a metaphor for nature always winning out despite all the stupid things we might do to prevent it. Great shots this week!

On another note, I'm trying to spread some love around today. Maybe this falls in the category of "self-promotion", but really I'm just trying to gather some good karma for a friend who could really use it right now.
Can you take a moment to visit here and share some?

Raven,

Those are lovely pictures for WW.

Every Week I envy you for the beauty of where you live.

Re: your question on my WW post, the model trains aren't unusually large. They are O scale trains, the size of most Lionel trains.

Great shots! I like #9. Things always seem to find a way to grow almost anywhere, and don't let anything stand in their way! There's a lesson we can learn from that.

I love that little bird, third photo from the end, by the queen anne's lace. And the plant poking up through the deck is filled with determination.

Congratulations on your wordlessness this week! I loved all your photos … especially the 4th one with the bird in flight with wings outstretched … gliding. It’s amazing! The bee is a close 2nd … but I did say I loved them all, right? I (on the other hand) was wordy today ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

You live in a beautiful environment. Wish I had all that nature, I live in a concrete jungle. :(

Fantastic shots all. I especially enjoyed seeing the weed growing up through the boards. Art where no one would have thought to find it!

By the way, I have tagged you for a Bookie Meme. The rules are on Rubbish. Hope you enjoy.

Wow, you are building quite a fan club here! So many lovely comments to see on my way to commenting myself.

I really love the purple flowers with the droplets of water-so pretty and I think I am longing for moisture over here in the parched old desert...very pretty.

Ian's favorite is "Bugs Bunny". He is adorable!
