Project Black, Take 3: My Black Cane

(Please scroll down for Saturday Wordzzle Challenge.)

Today is day three of Anna Carson's Project Black. These are some attempts to make my rather worn black cane look even remotely interesting. The first is where she hangs in the kitchen when I am out there. The rest are attempts to be artsy. Please check out Anna's wonderful photos and those of all the creative people who participate in her projects.

Project Black posts include:

Cane Corso Mastiff
Crow on the Wire
My Black Cane

See you tomorrow...

hi Raven,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I particularly like the last one - such character!

It must be trusty, as it looks like it's been leaned on often. How wonderful to have something you trust, keep you stable.

P.S. Secret Agent Mama = Mishelle Lane Photography (same gal, diff't sites)

I too like the last one a lot. The worn paint and the close up vantage point make this one work for me. Once again, nicely done! And my gosh some people are fast. This just showed up in my reader and there are already comments here!

Great shots, I love nr. 2 because of the old fashion touch to it...beautiful composition.

You did artsy very successfully, 3 is my fav and 4 is great too!! It looks like it has been a well used trusty companion. :0)

The last photo is my favorite. I love how you can see how well used it is-but it also looks like an old friend just waiting for you to pick it up.

Loved the crows too!

Thanks for your visit to my SkyWatch Friday post, Raven.

I'm on the road and in the field doing another photo trip chasing the bloom of our Rosebay Rhododendron (white blossoms) in the northern area of the Southern Appalachian mountains, and with lodging that does not have the most reliable internet service. I won't be home again for a few more days yet, but I did finally develop and upload a few images to update my July 7 Rhododendron post.

Sunrise this morning was a washout, literally, with locally heavy thunderstorms--looks like the rain won't ease up until later morning so I'm going to breakfast soon. But I wanted to try and get around to all who visited my SWF, and others too while I still have good internet access. So, please forgive this cut & paste with a small bit of personalization added--I do appreciate your visit and your comments.

Hey...I've got a cane like that one too, but it's not as worn on the handle as yours is. Rather, I now use varnished natural wood one, but the varnish is wearing off.

BTW, I enjoyed your SWF and the good photos you had.

Jim
