Ruby Tuesday: A Cat, A Bird and a Flower

Maryt/The Teach over at Work of the Poet has something called Ruby Tuesday which featuring all things red.

Three pictures this week, again of questionable redness. The first is a picture that the wonderful little girl who lives next door drew for me the very day we met. The second is a particularly pompous robin red-breast (I have always thought they look more orange, but I'm counting on the "red breast" name to get me through), and my neighbors dark... actually, I think I'll add a 4th shot. These last flowers are VERY far away, so they aren't too clear, but they are truly red.

I loved Shannon's reference comparing having cats to eating only one potato chip - so sweet.
Love that iris shot - gorgeous.
I would love to have flowers along a fence line like that - so country.
Robin Red-Breast fits just fine too - plump little guy that he is.

Raven, that's a very sweet drawing the little girl are drawn for you :)
Simple things like that makes us all smile :)

I like the robin red breast. I agree, it's not really red-red, but what the hey -- it's been called robin red breast for as long as you and I can remember (I'm about your age), so it is DEFINITELY appropriate for Ruby Tuesday.

Love the shot of the red-breasted robin. What a beautiful bird!

Great drawing too. Now you signed Mr. Linky for Silly Monkey Stories, so are you going to share a story about a child in your life? :D

Very pretty, Raven. My vote is 1, 2, 3, and 4, in the order you posted. That neighbor girl should do some more.
Happy WW. No red in mine today, mostly is brown or green.

I've only ever seen a robin once - but I have never forgotten it. :)

I have not seen a robin redbreast close up, so this pic really interests me. And love the variety of your other shots!

How clever of you to get the neighbours to draw pictures for your blog. ;-)

Good photo of the robin. How did you get it to stand still long enough to snap the picture?

The drawing is very sweet and the Robin is dignified in all of its glory displaying its name fame!

Lovely, proud robin. I think the little girl next door and my daughter would get along. (I never thought of posting my daughter's drawings for Ruby Tuesday...thanks for the idea!). The flowers are a joy, too.

I love that you still have the cat drawing! And she's right, you can't have just one cat! Great robin photo! I cannot seem to get a single bird of any variety to be still long enough to focus!

Great photos.
Mr. Robin is always proud to show his color.
I have some day lilies like the ones in photos 3 & 4. I may have to photograph them one of these days.
Kids are great aren't they? They're art is original, they use vibrant colors and they love to make friends.
Have a great RT.

We only have orange Tiger Lillies, I haven't seen the red variety. The chest of the bird looks red to me, anyway. Shannon's writing is very red.

This is 'Ruby Tuesday' and your submissions are right on.

Your Robin's are so different to ours. We are lucky if we see a red breasted one!

Just great photos for Ruby Tuesday! Robin Redbreast certainly does apply and the lovely tiger lilies are beautiful! The little girl next door is a sweet and generous individual! Happy RT, Katherine!

The drawing is my favourite, but I have only one cat, is that a problem?
