Project Blue, Take Six: Viviane's Gift

Today is day six of Anna Carson's Project Blue.

I thought I'd share a wonderful gift I received from my friend Viviane. She lives in Athens, Greece and paints fabric for a Swiss designer who then creates dresses and other items of clothing. Sometime around Christmas, I received a package with these nice blue Greek stamps on it and a beautiful blue tunic inside. I apologize to Viviane because my photos don't do it justice and after two cross-country moves and three after that, I no longer own an iron to press the creases out. The photos don't do the color justice either. But I did the best I could....

If you click on the stamps you can see them larger and see more details.

My other Project Blue posts include:

Blue Skies
Seldom Used Objects
A Box and Some Rocks
Peace
A Strange Assortment
Viviane's Gift

I love the color blue.
Blue is romantic, and
means you're available.
I'd hate to go through
life not being available.

That fabric looks gorgeous, what a wonderful gift!

To answer one of your questions, yes I have read the Stephen Domaldson books but thanks for the thought :) As to why penguins feet don't freeze... I seem to remember it's something to do with them being able to control the blood flow to their feet. I haven't got time to go check right now but I'll check later nad podt the anser in my comments, probably tomorrow now. Thanks for your visit.

I visited all your Project Blue pages. Great stuff. You have a good eye. And a photo of it to prove it, too. :) I particularly enjoyed Take 2 and those shots of the spray bottle and the cat. You done good.

Thanks for stopping by my joint.

What beautiful fabric. Any chance of a shot of the whole tunic? Is it silk?
