Skywatch Friday

Oh dear... another thing to get hooked on. I don't know that I'll do this every week, though, because never leaving the house means that it will be the same sky all the time with different clouds and I'm not sure how exiting that is for anyone. But it has been an exceptionally beautiful week for clouds/sky, so here are a few pictures out my back door. Sky Watch Friday is hosted by Tom at Welcome to Wigger's World. Drop by and you will find hundreds of links to sky scenes.

Beautiful Clouds. I did a whole series of photos that I called out my front door. I tried to take at least one photo of the sunset out my front door every day for a whole month. I was impressed because each pic has its own beauty. Surprise yourself and try it.

Raven, welcome. No apology needed. You've done some beautiful sky images despite physical limits. Well done!

Your skies are beautiful ! I love a cloudy sky ! since I participate in Skywatch I find blue skies boring, lol ! I decided to post pictures of "my" sky just what I see out of my window. It can't be boring because everyday it looks different ! So please continue ... !

Lovely photos, all. I believe if you took a photo from the exact same spot every hour from sunup to sundown, you would have that many different photos. Some would be more interesting than others, of course, but none would be the same. Just keep on clicking!

Raven,
I've been doing Skywatch for a long time now and these are NOT boring.
They're wonderful actually.
I love the varied skies you've captured and in that last one I see a giant's face turned up to the sky there on the right - a big nose and his lips are in a whistle position as if he's snoring! I'm weird I know !

With the sky, even though the spot that you take the photo never changes.... the sky always will. I don't think that it can ever disappoint.

Great post Raven!

Beautiful shots of the skies Raven :)
Very delightful ones.

It's the Singapore Flyer on my skywatch. The world's largest observation wheel. Each capsule can hold 28 person and a full cycle will last 30 minutes. More information of it at http://www.singaporeflyer.com/

Hope you'll be able to catch a ride on it if you ever come to Singapore :)

Welcome to Sky Watch and thank you for taking part.. I hear what you are saying and I think there's a way around this... the Sky in your pictures could be a backdrop for other stuff.. or you could even draw/paint a picture... I'm sure we can come up with something even if I have to e-mail you some of my pictures. If you need tocontact me feel free to do so and let me know what you think.

wow! the sky watch folks are among the nicest commentors!!

and I agree with all of them - the sky constantly changes! and you always capture the best of it

my office (hole in the basement) LOL has a tiny window which gives me a view of the tops of my trees with a sliver of sky peeping through. you know I work long hours down here and every time I look up I see something new.

and I think you should enter Creative Photography and I think your catepillar shot is worthy of the WWF

so there!! :)

I don't see how I could tire of that vastness, Raven. You look out on paradise itself. Who needs the malls?

I can´t believe you don´t go out much. You could have fooled me with these photos. They looked so good and big to me.

You have some great pictures of the sky here! And what a gorgeous view of the trees in the distance. Just imagine a clear blue sky over the fall colors on theose trees. The real secret is to glance up often so as to not miss changes in the sky.

I really like the cloud and sky combo in the first one. Perhaps it's how well the blue of the sky works with the clouds. It's a great capture. :)

Very nice set of photos here with great colors, one thing about this you really start looking towards the sky and very addicting. Check out old photos you have taken as you will be surprised some of them have sky photos in them
Hope you come back looking forward to seeing more

Oh, these are quite lovely. And, I post photos of our Missions all the time; it's never the same sky or panorama. You did a great job; I think that last one is a stunner, Raven.
