Wordless Wednesday: An Odd Assortment

HAPPY WORDLESS WEDNESDAY!!!

I was all set to be truly wordless and then I remembered that I got this in my email today. I'm sure most of you know about it, but just in case... The National Wildlife Federation's Annual Photo contest is still open for entries until July 1st. It's out of my league, but so many of you are so talented...

Come by and take a look at my garden. Happy WW!

I'll bet the bunny shot was hard to get. I've been trying to get mine for some time.

Hi Raven, is that a wild hare? It looks beautiful :)

cecily r - thanks for stopping by...

jan parrish - the bunny was hard. I have two of them who hang out in the yard but they tend to stay at the far end. One of my big pine trees got struck by lightning this weekend so he/she/it was closer to the house and not quite as blurry as usual.

napaboaniya - it is a wild hare/rabbit.

A wonderful assortment Raven. The second and last sky shots are my favorites, but the caterpillar is right behind it.
They're all wonderful though.

Thanks for the link. My daughter just told me yesterday about one of mine she thought I should submit somewhere. I'll check it out; we'll see.

Nice set of shots Raven. I love the caterpillar. Happy WW

My fav is the one of the clouds. It looks fantastic.

Love the caterpillar, but my favorite has to be the lily buds - very ethereal looking.

This is a great assortment of textures. That's what struck me first--the range of surfaces. Silly me, though, I thought the pines were cactuses at first glance. I'll get the glasses checked.

Thanks for a lovely WW.

My favourite is the fifth one - the view of beautiful green treetops and the cloudy sky. Really beautiful photos, nicely done! I can see you have a real eye for beauty :)

Hi again Raven....I think your 'mixture' of photos are beautiful! But I'd have to say the rabbit is my favorite.

My W W is shared. I'd love to have your company today.

You did a nice job collecting these. I really like that caterpillar a lot. Thanks so much for not being wordless and for telling me about it in my comments. I'll go check it out. And YOU should too. :)

A couple of those beautiful shots, Katherine, could be used for Skywatch... :)

hi everybody - I usually don't reply on WW but had to today....

carletta - thanks... the sky just wouldn't stop being beautiful last night. Cloud formation after cloud formation and so many variations of light.

jams o'donnell - I love that caterpillar too. He/she was very kind one morning about a month ago to pose with the sun shining just right.

fernweh - thank you so much. As I said to Carletta - the just couldn't seem to stop itself being pretty last night... not that it isn't always pretty, but...

robin - thanks. I can't wait for them to bloom. I can only see them at the moment with the camera.

sandycarlson - you're the reason I had to put replies... I thought they looked like cactuses too. I'm so glad it isn't just me. I debated about posting that one, but I kind of liked it that the branches looked like something that they aren't.

clarence - I wish you could have seen the real thing. The picture doesn't capture the "glow."

hootin' anni - I always check you out. I was so glad the bunny got close enough that I could get a half decent picture of him/her.

annette - thank you. I like that picture too. I have a whole series of caterpillar photos. They are sort of creepy (to me), but fun to photograph.

gallicissa - thank you and happy Wordless Wednesday to you too.

robert - thanks. I take that as a high compliment. Don't know that I have anything good enough or "wildlife" enough but maybe I'll think about it. Maybe my woodchuck...

What a fun ‘assortment’ of photos! They’re all great shots, but methinks my fav today might be the caterpillar. It never ceases to amaze me what you capture outside … from indoors. Well done ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

How fun! What a great variety of pictures. They turned out very nice. I love the bunny, but it's just because I have such an affinity for them as they run around our yard all the time. :D

I also really like the last one - the texture and dimension of the clouds, sky, and trees is very striking!

LOvely pics but I just love the one of the caterpillar. I think you should enter it into that contest!

Happy WW! Thanks for visiting my blog.
