Goldfinches! I can't tell you how thrilled I am about not just seeing goldfinches, but seeing them close up. |
There were goldfinches... right up close! Goldfinches!
There was a lone flicker and a grackle or two that I didn't photograph....
The chickadee came by a few times...
And the chipmunk spent some time. He actually came right up on the porch and posed but I was too slow. Hate it when that happens. I don't know why he seems to come out blurry all the time. Drives me crazy that I can't get a really good photo of him. Partly how dirty my back door is, but I don't think that's all. It's just as dirty for everything else.
And blue jays came in droves... at least 5 of them for multiple visits. As you can tell, my inner photographer was in hog heaven.... There are so many MORE pictures... this is me being restrained... my apologies... I just get really excited when I see birds up close... or not so close too. I find them both beautiful and awesome. Considering what brash characters the blue jays are, they were suprisingly skittish at first. But they adjusted...
Some things I'm grateful for today: (Items in red are pre-gratitude, an attempt to persuade the Universe that it is supposed to supply the desired items and hopefully to encourage hasty action as well.)

Your new camera takes excellent photos, but whoever put that bird feeder in deserves a hearty thank you from your readers. Great shots! I am absolutely jealous about that Jay!
These are GREAT pictures! Love the chipmunk - he's too cute :)
