Skywatch Friday-ish

It's Skywatch Friday (Thursday, actually) again. Between endlessly gray skies and computer problems, I haven't participated for a few weeks. Don't have much to share despite that. Please check out all the other sky-watchers at the link above and you'll see lots of glorious sunsets and sunrises and clouds and other wonderful sky scenes. We haven't had much sun this month, but we did have a few days when the sky was something other than gray.



This is what the sky has been like most of the time. I posted a bunch of snow photos a couple of days ago and the sky is so gray that some thought the pictures were black and white. I have to admit that the world feels very monochrome these days and the rare blue skies are especially nurturing to the spirit.

Skywatch Friday

It's Skywatch Friday (Thursday, actually) again. Not my usual gazillion photos this week, just 5... There are gazillions out there, though. Just check out all the other skywatchers at the link above and you'll see lots of glorious sunsets and sunrises and clouds and other wonderful sky scenes. The first people to visit have commented on the shots of the moon... that is actually the sun. That's how gloomy it has been around here this week. Looks pretty, though, doesn't it?

I know they look like moon shots, but these last two shots are the sun.

Skywatch Friday

It's been quite a while since I participated in Skywatch Friday: Between politics and other things, I just didn't feel I could do my part visiting others. I didn't stop taking pictures of the sky, just posting them. Die hard cloud/sky lovers can see all the ones I didn't post here. For today, I probably should have just posted the December 1st shots which are at the lower half of the post, but I had so many old November shots too... This is only late November. And I could have posted all of September. Count yourselves lucky I stopped here. Looking forward to everyone else's skies from around the world.




















On December 1st, the sky just would not stop giving and my camera finally agreed to pick up the color behind my neighbor's trees something it has been refusing to do most days.

Skywatch Friday

This is my 9th time participating in Skywatch Friday after a month off for a variety of reasons from illness to angst to computer issues. Yikes but time flies. I didn't take as many photos as I sometimes do, but I still have over a hundred to choose from and will post too many here. Still, die hard cloud lovers can see all the ones I didn't post here.

Sky Watch Friday is hosted by Tom at Welcome to Wigger's World and I hope you'll make it a point to visit his wonderful site as well. He takes awesome photos.

Everybody (me included) always tries to take pictures of the moon. I thought it might be interesting to try getting a shot of the sun, which was incredibly bright yesterday. Here's one of the shots.

Even though the wing got cut off, I thought this was kind of cool.
