Daily Reminder # 673

Brewers Blackbird

After two long, yucky August in May days, today was utterly perfect. Blue skies, a soft breeze, mild temperatures. And some birds even came to the back porch. Could I ask for more? Probably, but this was pretty good.  My niece's dog made it through his surgery and is doing very well.  The Counsel of Demonalians have quieted down to a large extent on the subject of Dr. Jim's kindness and my unworthiness. They have tried one or two subversive approaches, but I caught them so I have hope that I am going to weather the inner storm and learn a deeper, fuller level of receiving.

There's a wee (well not so wee - but smaller than the others) young
woodchuck hanging out in the yard now. You can still kind of see the
baby-ness can't you? I wish he had come closer to the house.
I really WOULD like to win enough money to pay him, though, and to pay my debts and help my friends out. But in the meantime, while the Creative Forces of the Universe are working on that, I will try to accept, that whether I think I deserve it or not, Dr. Jim - who I admire more than almost anyone in the world - thinks I am worthy of his generosity. It's called a double bind or something like that. If I question my worthiness, I'm questioning his judgment and rejecting his gift and that's worse (close call) than being unworthy, though The Demonalian crowd would have it that thinking I'm worthy is further proof that I'm not. They are real stinkers, the Demonalians and they don't give up easily.

Vanessa the Chased .
She is probably not chaste, but Scarface the Greedy
makes certain that she gets plenty of running time in.
This is a good life lesson for me.  It is perhaps no coincidence that a friend of mine - whose inner Demons may just be a match for my own - is in such stress that she has reached out for a shoulder to cry on, something very difficult for her to do. Her crisis is something I have been through to a lesser degree. Our accepting help and self-worth issues are very much the same, though, and I don't think it is a accident that we are talking a lot at this moment in time. There really IS something to trusting the rightness of even all the wrong things that happen in life. It's not always easy and I don't think accepting the rightness means you don't feel the grief and fear and anger and panic and whatever else. But it is a life preserver to cling to. The most grievous, painful times in my life, the most frightening situations, have always ultimately born rich fruit. The bush with the thorns also carries the rose. And so on. Anyway, That's my thoughts for the day.

Daily Reminder # 672

Spent some time at the back door this afternoon and don't have much to say. There's a really lovely Neale Donald Walsch "Message from God," that I kind of needed to hear so I hope it will speak to everyone else too. I'm still absorbing Dr. Jim's generosity to me. Hope you enjoy the chipmunks and the birds.  I'd appreciate it if you could send out some prayers for my friend Rosalie and for my niece's dog Emmet who is having surgery... and for my friend E and her cat Red.... and Dr. Jim's wife.

Scarface the Greedy
One of the Vanessas... not sure which one

On this day of your life, dear friend,
I believe God wants you to know...

...that your inner goodness is going to carry the day.

I know that you know what a good person you are.
Yes, we all make mistakes, but when everything is said
and done, you are a genuinely good person...and you
know it.

So here's what you should be told: God knows it, too.
Trust that your inner goodness will rule this moment...

Love, Your Friend....

Daily Reminder # 671

IT'S TOO HOT!

It's insufferably warm here, especially for MAY and it has been a rough day all around. Good rough, but rough.  I found out that my good, kind, wise therapist has been treating me for free since it turns out that Medicare doesn't cover therapy done by phone. I am awed by his generosity. Of coruse the voices in my head are all having a lot of opinions and most of them are highly critical of me.  It's odd that I was talking with a friend of mine just a couple of days ago about how receiving is a form of giving... it completes the circle and that is a gift to the giver.  Now here I am tested to live up to my own words of wisdom. Hate it when that happens.   Anyway.... beyond my profound gratitude to Dr. Jim, I'm not sure I have it in me this evening to make a long list. Was too hot to sit at the back door too, so I don't have photos.  Well, I do have some photos I was going to share but I want to do that when I'm in a better frame of mind, so I think I will find us a short video and just say that I am SO grateful for  Dr. Jim and my sister's children and their families and my friends and my home and today especially for ceiling fans and electricity and water and so many extraordinary blessing that the Universe bestows on me. Not that I don't want more. I'd really love that truck load of money so I could help my friends and give a back payment to Dr. Jim (so much for receiving).  But for the moment, I'm grateful too for YouTube and it's capacity to fill in for me when I am running on empty.

Daily Reminder # 670

I'm going to just post one long video today.  The President's speech at the Vietnam War Memorial. I was in college during the Vietnam years. I had friends who served and were never the same. I'm not a warrior type patriot. I think wars are a stupid waste of life. Once in a while they are unavoidable, but not very often. I was moved by this speech and the ceremony that went with it.  I don't like the military, but I am awed by people brave enough to risk their lives - even if I don't completely agree with their choices.  I am awed by the courage of so many who go on without legs or arms, burdened with guilt and profound trauma.  Not my road, maybe, and a life I can't imagine. I think wars are ignoble, but I think people can behave in profoundly noble ways in even the most vile situations.

Daily Reminder # 668

Well, I don't know if it's right to continue the numbers after a week-long daily reminder break, but I'm going to do it that way anyway because I don't feel like starting over and it will be the 668th daily reminder, so.... anyway.  Today's Neale Donald Walsh was especially inspiring, I thought.

Vanessa, the demure and genteel

On this day of your life, dear friend,
I believe God wants you to know...

...that your thoughts create your reality.
Your mind is more powerful than you know.

Are you worried about something right now? Are you
feeling unsure about something these days? God invites
you to change your thinkingMiracles seldom occur in
the lives of those who do not consider them possible.

There could be a miracle waiting for you this minute.
Please make room for it in your thinking. Thanks.

Love, Your Friend....

Scarface, the greedy seed vacuum. His scar is healing
though. It has turned into a little heart. Alas, he's still
greedy and chases Vanessa away at every chance.

Some things I'm grateful for today: (Items in red are pre-gratitude, an embrace of the possible and an effort to endear myself to the Creative Forces of the Universe so that they will bestow upon me my fondest wishes.  They have recently provided me with my long wished-for clothes dryer. They forgot to work out the installation part, but still the dryer is a major step in the right direction. It came with a 42" projection TV. Can my truckload of money be far behind?)

Regeneration Day #7

This will be the last day of regeneration. I was going to end it yesterday, but I managed to get Wordzzles done (whew!) and that kind of used up my available brain cells for today, so...  Some video today.... some promo videos for Healing with the Masters, which is already half over, but I liked this woman a lot.

HAVE A MIRACULOUS DAY!
