One Single Impression: Doorways

This week's prompt for One Single Impression was "doorway." I'm not feeling well and I did these too quickly and impatiently. If I had better sense, I'd just wait and post them another day but I have my rules and I do OSI on Sunday so for better or worse, these are sort of badly framed and I don't like the colors and I think I had another one in my head that I have misplaced. If I remember it, I may add it later. So...

Doorway to dark side
OSI is now posted
Even though it sucks

Well, Raven, I respectfully disagree. I think these are very, very good.

The agoraphobia poem is startling and wonderful.

And the doorway to another heart is very beautiful.

I hope you feel better.

I read nothing sucking here. I hope the next door you open leads to an uplifting experience...

I noticed that the doorway you chose to pair with the agoraphobic poem is the one with the outside vibrantly shining through. Maybe you answered your question?

I like them all but I can really relate to the "doorway for my eyes".
Very nice.

Katherine, the haiku are magnificent! Putting your feelings on the page is so important so we can feel with you! :)

I've done that too - written stuff I thought sucked and then people liked it. Sometimes I won't even post it on the prompt page because I figure it's that bad - I think we creative types are just too hard on ourselves.

I really liked your work - my favorite being the agoraphobic - took my breath away....

These are much better than your assessment of them. :-) (We are our own worst critics, methinks.)

I particularly like the agoraphobic one.

I believe you have posted doorways that may be pivotal in your life's journeys. They can never be "rough", even when you are unwell. They are always there waiting for you to utilise them in some way. That is the essence of your post! It is fantastic!

I agree with everyone but you! You did a wonderful post even though I'm not familiar with this project.

Feel better soon.

I like what julie said! "I agree with everyone but you"!

I love them all - each one says a bit of the things I know and love about you.

Feel better. It's terribly humid and stormy here. This weather can make you feel sickly.

Yep Raven, too hard on yourself. :)
I loved them all and the doorway is a favorite; but the cyberspace wonders is right on!

I sure hope you're feeling better -I'll be thinking about you.

It's true - we are not good critics of our own work! These are very descriptive and thought-provoking. Good job!

Hope you are feeling better soon, Raven. All of your "doorway views" are good.

There are so many doors without a name keeping us in or out. Your stuff always makes me think, and I appreciate that.

You did just fine. I like the photo and poem about the agoraphobic best. I think you get to choose whether the door keep you out or in.

Thank you everybody. My computer was down all last night and until about an hour ago this evening (11:00 pm). Thank heavens for my friend Nate.

Thank you all for your kind words.
