Skywatch Friday

It's been quite a while since I participated in Skywatch Friday: Between politics and other things, I just didn't feel I could do my part visiting others. I didn't stop taking pictures of the sky, just posting them. Die hard cloud/sky lovers can see all the ones I didn't post here. For today, I probably should have just posted the December 1st shots which are at the lower half of the post, but I had so many old November shots too... This is only late November. And I could have posted all of September. Count yourselves lucky I stopped here. Looking forward to everyone else's skies from around the world.

On December 1st, the sky just would not stop giving and my camera finally agreed to pick up the color behind my neighbor's trees something it has been refusing to do most days.

Love second one.

So glad you joined again!
I love #2 for all the birds, #3 for the single bird and the blue 'hole', #9 for the branches and #12 for the silhouetted tree against the gorgeous color!

Glad you are back doing Sky Watch again. Love the colors in the house one. The simplicity of the last one is calming. Love the horizontality of the first one. And the branched tree against the sky in the middle is a great composition.

Very nice pictures. It was good to see that the sun shines sometimes and there aren't always clouds.

I feel like I have seen every type of sky here.

For being an indoor woman you have more skillful observation than most outdoor people I know.
They seem to hasten by, while you get every move and change in color and sky formation from your observation post.
You play on many strings, and you play well.

It seems that politics or no, the sky was still above you. Pity some of the nicest pictures have the scourge of city life, the ubiquitous power line through them.

Wow! Lots of shots here. All of them are beautiful but I like the one with all the birds in the tree the best--if I had to pick.

Hi Raven,
Gorgeous series. I also love to frame trees in with my sky shots. I'm here from Carletta's blog or another sky-watcher I discovered a few weeks ago. I haven't joined the photo network yet, but I do have a sunrise (plus a short yarn) currently up.

There's an album on my website, too with some sky shots but they are not my best ones. Still trying to learn the new Mac I bought. (Had been a pc gal.) I had planned to add more photos for the sunrise because I sure took a lot but I needed to get back to my studio to paint.

(There's a few other photos on the recent posts of autumn leaves.)

Glad to have found you. Am on my way to look at that link of your photos.

Raven: You saved up a lot of neat shots of the sky for SWF. Thanks for sharing.

You prove my theory that you don't have to live some place exotic to have incredible skies. We just have to look up!
