Hard to believe that it is Friday again already. It has turned from Fall to Summer here. It was a nice day, though... except for the ant invasion at my desk. I burned a lot of sage and that slowed them down, though I suspect they will have returned full force in the morning. Ants are supposed to be teachers about patience in Native spiritual teachings. Sigh. I don't want to be patient. I really hope they go away. Still not a lot of birds at my back door, but the two chipmunks. I think the one above is the smaller, more genteel of the two. She eats more delicately, is a touch more jumpy and doesn't just shove the food in. She is inevitably chased away by the Scar-faced Vacuum cleaner. We have had a very beautiful but unwelcome feline visitor the past couple of days. Gorgeous animal looking for something to kill.
I listened to a new Healing with the Masters session... well, I sort of listened. I thought it got especially interesting about 40 minutes in. She had cancer and she talked about trying different things and what worked for her was giving it love. Something like that. I do think there is power in that... in loving your knees even when they ache. In loving - in my case - your fat cells. That's tough one for me. My mother started worrying about my weight when I was 3 months old and saw me as fat even before I fulfilled her vision of me. Life is strange. In any case, I'm going to try loving my flaws. We will see how that goes. Hmmm.
Some things I'm grateful for today: (Items in red are pre-gratitude, an exercise in embracing abundance and desires and attempting to make friends with both my own inner creative manifestor and the Creative Forces of the Universe.)

Hi! I was thinking of you today and thought I would come and visit. I don't blog much anymore, but I often think of my friends.
