Gratitude, Day #8: WOW, What a Day!

(Please scroll down for the Saturday Wordzzle Challenge.)

Well, Day 8 of following Linda's example and giving daily gratitude. Today, was an extraordinary day. My nephew, whom I haven't really seen much over the past 10 years came for a visit. He and his girlfriend were on the way to a wedding and stopped by for a couple of hours. It was just so nice to see him and to meet his lady and see how happy they are. He may come back next week for a longer visit, which would be really an abundance of blessings.

Not only did Matt bring me himself and his girlfriend, he gave me an electronic keyboard. I have so missed having a piano and this is a really awesome keyboard. It has been 8 years since I put my fingers to the keys and I'm rusty, but it felt really nice. This is like the Universe reading my prayers (which I guess it does) and actually answering them. How cool is that?

I didn't ask my my Matt and Marishka permission to post their photos so I won't, but here's my new keyboard. Isn't it pretty?

Oh... and thanks to my friends Nate and Mary in particular, my house looks awesomely clean and pretty.

Oh - and also, thanks to and for all the amazing creative people who participate in Wordzzles every weekend.

I would say yea... that is a HUMONGOUS blessing - especially coming from someone you haven't had much to do with in the past 10 years! :) Now you'll be writing scores instead of wordzzles!

I'm so rusty that it isn't funny, but it's a wonderful instrument - sounds and plays almost like the real thing and you can also turn it into an organ or harpsichord or... I spent a couple of hours just sitting fooling around. Felt good. Felt so wonderful to see him again too. He looks wonderful and happy.

There is nothing quite as uplifting as a prayer answered in an unexpected way. Enjoy making music.

Oh that's very spiffy looking; I'm sure you'll have much enjoyment from it. And sounds like cat allergies weren't a problem in your nice clean place, either. Hooray!

quilly - so true... The best gift was seeing Matt for more than 10 minutes after such a long period of time. He may come back next weekend for a longer stop. An abundance of riches.

deborah g - It really is spiffy. He said it's one of the best models there is... and you can tell. Besides the cleaning, I made mullein leaf tea (it really works!) and did some reiki (which also really works). I got a note this morning that friends from NYC, one of whom is very allergic are dropping by on Monday morning, so the cleaning will hopefully hold up well for their visit too.... and Nancy responds well to both the tea and the reiki.

What a wonderful gift, in addition to the visit.

Ah! Let's see - Obama wins, your nephew visits, you get a keyboard...good things come in threes!
Wish we could hear you play!

I'm still reveling in the beautiful Hammond organ I inherited this past spring after my Dad's baby sister passed away. I'm lousy at working on it -having been away from playing an instrument for many, many years - but I do enjoy very much when I have time to sit down at it and try to play a bit. Very relaxing, it is, too -bad notes and all.

Wow, I am so glad Matt and his girlfriend were able to visit you. Cindy has invited the Murphys to Thanksgiving, so we will get to see him then.

The keyboard is wonderful and I hope that you will enjoy revisiting music and all of its introspection. What a lovely gift.

I am so happy that you are working on your gratitude posts too!
