Daily Reminder # 566

The sky was exquisite this evening. And it was a kind of warm day considering how cold it has been. It went up to 50 after days in the teens and 20s. I was comfy all day but tonight for some reason I can't get warm. The mysteries of my physiology, I guess. I notice that I can be cold for a long time and then at around 11:30 or after midnight, I'm suddenly comfortable. I'm sure if I studied my biorhythms, I could figure out a way to be more comfortable more of the time.... but I'm too lazy to do that... and clueless as to how.  Still waiting for any news about Cassie/Emily, the agoraphobic cow. The woman who is my contact said she was having dinner with the people who work with the animals last night and would let me know but I haven't heard from her yet. The friend who told me about Cassie/Emily told me an interesting story about the name Emily. Apparently there is a famous Emily the Cow - a 1995 escapee from a slaughterhouse - not far from   where the Maple Farms Sanctuary is located. This Emily became a vegetarian activist and has her own statue. Could my Cassie Emily have picked up on that? Life is pretty astonishing sometimes. Well, life is always astonishing, but some things do stand out. That's it for me today, I think. I'm cold and tired (didn't sleep well last night) and a touch cranky, so I think I'll stick to gratitude and pictures of the sky.

Some things I'm grateful for today: (Items in red are pre-gratitude, a game to convince both myself and the Creative Forces of the Universe that I really ought to be in possession of millions of dollars, a clothes dryer and everything that I wish for in life.)

Gorgeous skies! The story of Emily is amazing. Hope you hear soon from the sanctuary.
And that you have a restful night.
