How to Disagree without Being Disagreeable

How our health care discussions SHOULD happen. This is what happens when people listen to one another. What a concept. I do have to say that I think describing this group as "an angry mob," is a bit of a stretch.

Then I found this. According to the article that went with it, the video maker tried to find negative voices and couldn't find any.

On another subject, I stepped out my front door today. There's no bench so I didn't stay, but I did step outside. How nice to be able to do so without falling into a chasm. How nice to be able to step back inside without fear that I won't be able to make it. What a gift has been given to me.

Being a bear of very little brain where political debates are concerned, I'm not sure what the healthcare ruckuss is all about over the other side of the pond. We here in the UK have our NHS and, I for one, am very proud of it. It's not perfect by any means but it is there and, moreover, it is there for everybody free of charge at the point of delivery.

I'm really thrilled with your news about going outside the door. I'm sending all my positive thoughts to you.

Raven, I'm so pleased that you made that step outside. Every journey begins with a single step and you have now done that. Good for you! You can do this. Don't give up on yourself. There's so much to love out there.

Congratulations on that step! What a joy to share this with you through your blog!

I agree that we need to take the tone down and talk to one another. The time for ranting is over, the time for fixing is here. Interesting how the media doesn't want us to stop the rant -- it doesn't make good copy when people are civil!
