The Reveal-ish

Well, it's finished... except that I need to figure out what to put on the wall where the butterflies used to be. That and what seems like it might be a small leak at the base of the sink. (Sigh.) Still it's so much prettier and more usable than it used to be. The hand rails will offer me extra towel rack space too, so they have a double purpose. I wish the faucet on the sink wasn't gold but I'm still thrilled. I wish I could take better photos. Bathrooms - especially very small ones like this one - are not that easy to photograph unless you know what you're doing, I guess.

For those of you who weren't here before or who have forgotten, here's the BEFORE picture:

And now scenes from AFTER:

Now Angel, Tara Grace and I get a 10 day break (unless they have to come and fix the sink). Much as I'm looking forward to getting the kitchen finished, I'm also kind of relieved to have a bit of a rest from early mornings and long days of anxiety. I think the kitchen will be much easier to handle. Nate and Dan (who gets out of the hospital this morning. Yippee!) are going to move my refrigerator and microwave into the living room for me so I can just have the kitchen closed off while they work. It's not quite as primal as not being able to use the bathroom. Wish I could decide what to hang on that bathroom wall. I have some rice paper pictures which I think could weather the moisture of a bathroom... or last night I had an idea about maybe making a circle of some of my photos... Decisions, decisions...

Thanks for sharing the joy of this with me.

Was so anxious to post something this morning that I just went ahead... then after I psoted, I made this... think it shows the difference much better.

Such a cheerful transformation. Cheers!

You will have such fun decorating that wall--I love the idea of a circle of your photographs, Raven.

MUCH better! Good for you!

I wouldn't wait on the leak, lest they think it happened much later. Better to deal with them coming back sooner than making you pay for their mistake! And the leak may cause damage to your new flooring!

Hope it's resolved quickly!

It looks marvelous! I think the flooring and the base of the sink make it look bigger.
I'm so happy for you.
Glad Dan is being released.
Enjoy this Raven - you deserve it!

wOOt! Looking good, Raven! I bet that new shower is a joy. Your bathroom looks so much bigger and brighter.

I hope they get that water thing taken care of quickly!

Now, I can't wait to see the kitchen changes.

Your new bathroom is beautiful, and it looks more functional, too. I agree, get that leak fixed pronto.

Ooooooooh AWESOME!!! It's soooo pretty! And soooo clean and shiny! I don't think the gold faucet looks bad at all -- it's kinda snazzy! ( I know... you'd rather it match everything else... but really - it's okay!) And I don't think there IS any knowing what you're doing to photographing small spaces... I think it's just a matter of you either HAVE a wide angle lens... or you don't! I DON'T! LOL! I'm not sure I can stand to wait ten whole days for the kitchen to begin!
