Daily Reminder # 666

Was a beautiful open windows day today.  The back door was pretty quiet. The more genteel of my chipmunks stopped by, but I thought I'd keep us from doing all chipmunks all the time and share kitties. The beauty above was trying to figure out a way to get on the roof to the birds nesting up there. I can see that she (feels girly to me) is very smart and unfortunately quite determined. She is also totally dismissive of me as someone to be feared. So it goes.

I spent some time listening to one of the Healing with the Masters conversations. I HIGHLY recommend it. The woman being interviewed is a person named Carol Look.  She's an expert in EFT (aka Tapping), but the thing I was most fascinated by was a new process she is working with called Healing Light or something like that. About 40 minutes into the conversation she does a session for those listening. As a rule, I'm much better at sending healing than accepting it, but boy, did I feel what this woman was doing. It was pretty astonishing. I hope you'll check it out.  Well worth an hour of your time.  It was very cool. I went though the healing section twice (and plan to do it again) and each time, it felt like this soft, cool clearing of the energy in my legs in particular. Fascinating.

Think I will do paragraph gratitude again this evening.  So... . I"m grateful that I got the litter box changed and that the garbage is out and I'm still in one piece. Grateful that the garbage man is kind enough to take extra steps and come up to the house so I can just toss it out my front door. It's the difference between being able to manage on my own and not being able to do so. Odd, how such a small thing can make such a big difference. I'm grateful for my little house and all the miracles and lucky accidents (and awful stuff) that led me to finding it.  I'm grateful for You Tube and the Tapping for $50,000 lady. I'm having fun with that. And so grateful for the cool experience with Carol Look's light healing. I'm grateful for kitties - mine especially - that they are so sweet and good to me and each other. I'm grateful for their hugs and their purrs and their gentleness. I'm grateful for Netflix and the movie I will watch once I post this. I'm grateful for my computer and all that it offers - email, music (Pandora Radio), computer games, Google, SKYPE... the list goes on and on. I'm grateful for the incredible sound that comes out of the Bose speakers my niece gave me and that I have ears to hear, eyes to see, a tongue to taste with, a nose to smell all the amazing good odors there are, fingers to and skin and a heart to feel with. I'm grateful for mysteries like reiki and tapping and light healing... things that can't be explained but have become so real to me. I'm grateful for Dennis Puffett and all the wonderful healers who I have encountered in my life. I'm grateful for my friends, past, present and future. I'm grateful for my neighbors, for all the kind people who don't really know me but who have been kind to me anyway. I'm grateful for my nieces and my nephew and for the families they have created for themselves. I'm grateful that they are happy and healthy and successful and that I'm connected with their lives despite being an agoraphobic recluse. I'm grateful to be an agoraphobic in a time when there are phones and TVs and computers that mean I'm not so alone.  I'm grateful for cheese and peanut butter and granola bars, for clean, clear drinking water and for electricity and all the amazing things that are part of modern living. Today I'm grateful for the ceiling fan. I'm grateful for the orange glow of my Tibetan salt lamps and for all the beautiful rocks I have collected over the years. I'm grateful for how beautiful color is and how there are so many hues and shades and tones. I'm grateful for the view from my front window and from my back door, for the woodchuck and the cute little chipmunks and the birds (even if they won't visit the porch right now).  I'm a touch less grateful for stray cats, but they are none-the-less wonderful and fun to photograph. I'm so grateful for my camera and that cameras are now digital and you can take a million pictures and not have to worry about paying to have them developed and that you can zoom in on things.

I'm grateful that I can read and write and that there are so many wonderful books to read, that there is poetry. I'm grateful that there's You Tube where you can LISTEN to poetry too. I'm grateful for TV and for channels like PBS and Comedy Central and the SciFi Channel. I'm grateful for the sound of wind chimes in the breeze as I type this. I'm grateful for paper towels, for  indoor plumbing and low flush toilets. I'm grateful for my electric toothbrush and for my microwave and for my refrigerator. I'm excited about and grateful for the anticipated arrival of a newer TV and for a clothes dryer. I'm grateful that some of the things on the red list are manifesting and hope even more do. I really hope I can somehow create the space and some way to have a party for my 65th birthday with the people I love around me. A pot luck, maybe. And all the other stuff. I'm grateful for my wonderful mattress and that it's going to be cool enough tonight that I'll be comfortable with blankets over me. I'm grateful for my chair/walker and that my legs still get me around with it's help and the help of my cane. I'm grateful that I'm stubborn and resilient even though I'm often stubborn in ways that are very self-destructive. I'm grateful that I have so much to be grateful for. Above all, I'm grateful for love - and the people I love.  I'm grateful for laughter which I think connects us to something holy. I'm sure God laughs.  And I'm grateful for my body (yeah, I have serious shame and other issues with it, but I'm still grateful for it) and for breath and a beating heart and for life itself.

"There must be SOME way to get up there and get those
little birds. I'm sure I can figure something out.... maybe
if I... no, that won't work... hmmm..."

I Wish You Light and Laughter!

Daily Reminder # 665

Just a lot of pictures tonight and some gratitude to go with them.  The birds are still not tempted by my lovely bird seed. A nice blue jay did pop by for about 20 seconds, pick up a seed or two and fly off before I could focus the camera, but he never returned. But the more demure of my two chipmunks spent a lot of time. Unlike her Scar Face (as I call him), the little fast moving vacuum cleaner, she (I think #2 is a girl) is quite demure, nibbles slowly and - best of all - poses facing the door for long moments at a time. And we had a nice long visit from the woodchuck. And alas, a big orange kitty made him/herself quite at home on my deck and was unmoved by my requests to relocate. Other than that, I have nothing of interest to say.... just lots and lots of pictures.

For the rest, I'm going to do paragraph gratitude again this evening.  Always grateful for lots of photo subjects. Still wish the birds would come pose for me... and a bunny or two... but I'm grateful for kitties and chipmunks and woodchucks. Grateful for my green, overgrown back yard and my nice chair/walker that gets me back there and holds me up with no fear that it might collapse underneath me. Grateful for Angel and Tara Grace, always and forever. So happy that Tara sleeps with me at night and is better and better at accepting touch and love. Grateful for Angel's hugs and her constant companionship at the desk or the back door. She really loves watching the chipmunks. I'm grateful for Amazon.com where I get the seed and cat litter and tooth brushes and other necessities. Grateful for my little house that's sturdy and just the right size for me. Grateful for all the improvements that Delaware Opportunities has made to make it easier for me to manage. Hoping the will kick in to install my gift dryer. I'm grateful for Nate and Dan, who have been so kind and generous to me... most of my furniture is from them, my current TV, my refrigerator... the list goes on and on.

I'm grateful for Dr. Jim and his wisdom and kindness... and patience. Mrs. Jim is recovering from her TEN HOURS of surgery. They can both still use your prayers, but she is doing well. I'm grateful for the telephone and that he's willing to work with me through that medium. I'm grateful for Medicare and my SSD. I'm grateful for the Tapping lady and my friend Rosalie for telling me about her. I'm enjoying the idea of "tapping" for $50,000.  I'm grateful for reiki and that I can offer it to Mrs. Jim and others. Grateful when people pay me from time to time, since I can use the money. I'm grateful for open windows and warmer weather but also grateful for my warm robe because it has been damp and not quite warm enough. I'm always grateful for enough food to eat, for coffee and International Delight (my friend Ellie got me addicted to that) in the morning and lots of good tasting NY water when I want or need it. I'm grateful for indoor plumbing and the new bathroom that Delaware Opp created for me. I'm grateful for my current TV (soon to be replace by a free bigger and better one!) and for PBS and Comedy Central and the Sci-Fi Channel. I'm grateful for Netflix and movies and my computer and email and the internet and YouTube and Google and SKYPE and all the wonders of cyber space - that absurd range from computer games to Healing with the Masters interviews and Dennis Puffett and the tapping lady and email and care2.com and thehungersite.com and Huffington Post. Makes me less of a hermit.

I'm grateful for chipmunks who pose, for the wonder of green in Spring and Summer and for all the colors of the rainbow, for the orange glow of my Tibetan salt lamps and the electricity that powers them and my computer and TV and toothbrush and so many other things. I'm grateful for words and poetry and literature even though I don't read very much any more and I miss it terribly. I'm grateful for my awesome beautiful nieces and my handsome nephew and that they are  happy and have found people to love who love them back and treat them well. I'm grateful for my great niece and my great nephew, grateful for my late sister who I see in all of them even though they are very much their own unique and magnificent beings.  I'm grateful for music and the joy of singing and listening, for the cool Bose speakers my niece gave me that make listening even more fun and for Pandora radio that exposes me to new music while sharing my favorites. I'm grateful for sight and smell and taste and touch and the wonders of the every day world. I'm grateful that my legs still work even though they seen a touch resentful at times. I'm grateful that I can read and write and that my parents gave me a love of words because they loved them too. There's so much and a lot gets lost in paragraphs. A lot gets lost in lists too. I'm grateful for love, for laughter and for life itself.  Life is good even when it's not so good.

Daily Reminder # 664

Another damp and chilly day here. I'm having fun with the Tapping for $50,000 video. I think something in me is actually shifting. Time will tell, of course. Hopefully time will tell with a big check from Publisher's Clearinghouse or some other source. A long-lost relative. A modern day John Berisford Tipton the Third... well may the 4th or 8th or something.  Anyway, I'm enjoying the experiment. Only takes 8 minutes to do, so it's easy.  Think I'll share a Neale Donald Walsch message from today because I like it. It makes me think of what they teach you about reiki. That the energy moves through you to get to the other person so when you do reiki for someone, you are also getting reiki. I always think as well that when you send hate or anger to someone, that moves through you too. Whatever we put out to others we give to ourselves as well.  So that's my thought for the day....  The chipmunk didn't show up but the woodchuck passed through. He or she seems to have developed a fondness for my flowering quince bush. Not sure how I feel about that. It DOES offer good photo ops, so it isn't all bad.

On this day of your life, dear friend,
I believe God wants you to know...

...that happiness and joy comes to you when it moves
through you. There is no other pathway--and that's
the miracle.

You will have a number of opportunities in the days
just ahead to be a vehicle of happiness and joy for
another. Step right into that. Be the source of that.

As you bring others to a smile, so, too, will you
bring yourself. The method is foolproof.

Love, Your Friend....
neale

Think I'm going to do another gratitude paragraph tonight. I like the long list, but I'm too lazy and it's kind of fun to put context around my gratitude too. I'm increasingly excited about the clothes dryer my friends are bringing. I'm hoping that it will fit in the kitchen, but while I was sitting at the back door, it occurred to me that I think there's a gas hook-up where the water heater is, so they could hook it out there and it would still be better than not having one. I could do washes and Margaret could go out to the dryer instead of to the laundromat. I could have clean sheets more often and other good things. If I remember correctly, it's a very posh dryer. An LG super ecologically friendly one that the guys bought quite recently. (I'm thinking a year ago but it was probably longer. Time zooms by at such astronomical speeds these days.) Anyway, The red list has granted me my long desired Bose speakers, and a bunch of other things I can't remember at the moment. This dryer is one of the things I've thought of as relatively impossible, so that makes it very cool indeed. I'm getting a newer TV from them too. I'm a little concerned that it may be too big for my small space. It's 36 or 42 inches or something like that. Projection something. All the distinctions are lost on me. I still remember when a TV was just a TV and you didn't have to pick a phone company. But I digress.

I really do have a lot to be grateful for. My nieces and my  nephew, my little house, my warm robe today to hold the dampness at bay. My current TV and computer which were gifts from the same friends giving me the dryer and the new TV.  I'm grateful for reiki and the ability to be of help to people or animals who are hurting, to experience things that are impossible but happen anyway. I'm grateful for the beauty around me, for my kitties and their hugs and even that they sometimes really piss me off. Makes life more interesting. I'm grateful for my grabber, for my chair that's also a walker and helps me get around and sit if my legs start to give out. I'm grateful for coffee and the abundance of really good water that New York State has to offer. Best tasting water in the country. I'm grateful for my new toothbrush, for the internet, for my Tibetan salt lamps. They are SO pretty. I love my rocks and they are like wonderful glowing rocks that glow with a kind of natural love. I know that sounds goofy, but it's how I feel about them. Two of them are on full-time. They are supposed to clean the air and they just make me happy.

I'm grateful that I can look out my windows and doors and see birds and squirrels and woodchucks and flowering quinces, that my neighbors wave to me when they go past and stop by the window sometimes on a warm day.  I'm grateful for therapy and that Dr. Jim is such a wise kind man. I'm grateful that I can read and write and the I live in a century when there are movies and television and DVDs and digital cameras and a host of other wonders.  I'm grateful for Sam-e that helps hold depression off without being a drug. I'm grateful for my SSD that means I didn't die in the street or become a burden on my sister's kids. I'm grateful for all the wonderful people who have passed through my life. So many things.  I really could go on and on, but I imagne I'm getting boring at this point. I'm grateful I can just quit listing things I'm grateful for when I feel like it. I'm always grateful for laughter and for love and for life itself.

HAVE A MAGNIFICENT DAY!

Daily Reminder # 663

Although he paid his usual call this afternoon - and still no birds have visited the porch - I thought it would be nice to take a break from all chipmunk all the time. The yard offered a few birds. The catbird came. I love catbirds. I don't know why but they are one of my very favorites. They seem "sweet" to me. Silly.  For the rest, it was an open windows day. Still doing lots of reiki. I'm having fun with the $50,000 tapping lady. I'm going to keep working with that and see where it takes me.  Other than that, I'm kind of uninspired again tonight.  Reiki doesn't exhaust me really, it just means my focus is kind of elsewhere and my time vanishes in a flash.

I think I'll take the lazy road for my gratitude again tonight and instead of my long list, offer a short paragraph. I'm always so grateful for my two kitties Angel and Tara Grace, for their hugs and their sweetness, for their love. Grateful that they make me smile and sometimes make me growl. I'm grateful for my home and the views in both front and back yard. Grateful for birds and open windows and greedy chipmunks. Grateful for the gifts of modern living, electricity and refrigeration and microwave ovens. Grateful for beauty, for indoor plumbing, for the mobility that I still have. Grateful for possibilities that come in entertaining and enriching ways like the tapping video and the Healing with the Masters interviews. I'm grateful for my nieces and nephew and their families, glad that they are happy and healthy.

Grateful for the ability to read and write and think, for the magic of the computer and google and games and communication. Grateful for friends and neighbors. Grateful for all the possible things - my winning lottery numbers and my PCH winnings and company and birthday parties and a all sorts of other blessings. I'm grateful for reiki and ability to participate in something so miraculous. I'm grateful for love and laughter and life and all the wonders of the Universe. And for the people who visit and read my words. Thank you.

I WISH YOU JOY!

Daily Reminder # 662

Lazy blogger tonight. Had a lovely day, though. It went from 34 degrees last night to 77 this afternoon, but a lovely mild 77 with a soft breeze.  Everyone's favorite chipmunk visited the back door and my friend Rosalie came by and made some lovely pasta and we enjoyed good conversation along with the food. I had sent her some information on something called Tapping (I posted about it a few weeks back) and she has been exploring it. Found this wonderful, fun video which I am going to play with. I think we all should and see who manifests $50,000 first.

Despite having a lot to be grateful for - nice weather, a lovely shower, a good night's rest, good food, good conversation, and all the usual things, I'm going to skip my list tonight. Oh - but I should mention that I may actually be about to manifest one of the things on my red list and something not on it. My friends who have virtually furnished my home have come into possession of a newer, larger TV than the last one they gave me... AND... this is the big one.... they had bought a very, very nice clothes dryer but they have moved (long story) and want to give it to me. There are a few glitches. It's a gas dryer and Delaware Opportunities set things up for an electric dryer. It might be too big for the space and I have to find someone to hook route gas. I'm hoping maybe Del. Opp could do it because I'd feel safer with someone they hired, but Dan said he has a friend who could probably do it. Anyway, the item most frequently at the top of my pre-gratitude list is trying to manifest. How cool is that!

Wishing You a Very
Splendid and Spectacular Day

All Ache and No Pizazz

Taking another day off from reminders, I'm afraid.  High temp today was 60 something but now it is 34 degrees.  Whether it's the up and down temps or something else, I am all achy and I have no enthusiasm for typing or gratitude. Also have been doing lots of reiki. My therapist's wive came through her surgery fine but I am trying to keep sending her good energy and the antique puppy in Maine is waiting to cross over, so that one feels very sad to me. She's in no pain that I can sense, but I feel sad for her human.

I'm grateful today for life and love and laughter and Advil and all the things that I'm always grateful for. Grateful that tomorrow is another day. That my kitties love me and each other and that the world is a beautiful place. Grateful that my warm bed is waiting for me and that if I am lucky I will wake up in the morning with fewer aches and more enthusiasm.

 WISHING YOU A PURR-FECT DAY!

Weekly Wordzzle Challenge #203

And the story of the Paragon of Virtue goes on and on and on. We are up to installment 43! Yikes. Edging towards a finish. Every week I think maybe it will be today and every week the words drag me on in their own path.

As has become my habit (bad habit), I'm going to post Mr. Linky and next week's words awhile, but will probably do my own wordzzles tomorrow.

Saturday 4:00 PM - Unexpected company coming today, plus some reiki commitments. Apologies. Will do my exercises tomorrow. I promise.

Sunday, :4:45 PM - Agggghhhhhh!  This was an awful collection of words. Who makes these stupid lists up anyway? Oops.. It's me.  Anyway, these are not very interesting, but they are finished. Lord knows how I'm going to get out of the mess I have just painted myself into. Sigh. Well, I don't have to think about it until next week. I'm off to see if there are any birds to watch.

Here are links to the previous episodes.  If you need/want to catch up, click here for the 1st installment, 2nd installment, 3rd installment, 4th installment, 5th installment, 6th installment, 7th installment., 8th installment, 9th installment, 10th installment, 11th installment, 12th installment, 13th installment, 14th installment, 15th installment, 16th installment, 17th installment, 18th installment, 19th installment. 20th installment, 21st installment, 22nd installment, 23rd installment, 24th installment, 25th installment, 26th installment, 27th installment, 28th installment, 29th installment, 30th installment, 31st installment, 32nd installment, 33rd installment, 34th installment, 35th installment, 36th installment, 37th installment , 38th installment, 39th installment, 40th installment, 41st installment, 42nd installment...

Words for this week's 10 word challenge were:  eclipse, question, essential, value, encourage, green eggs and ham, charge, wanted, cheat, wonderful    And for the mini: country, treatment, concession, united, typical

My mega:

"Oh, my WHAT???"  the rest of the group exclaimed with one united voice. Their question hung in the charged air for what seemed like an eternity, before Agravard and Armadillo replied. "We sense two trolls and another veiled entity between them which we can't quite define."  "Thank you my friends. Your ability to communicate is a blessing indeed. I wish I could say that it is "typical" of Qullard Quake to do such and such, but all that is typical of him is to be as unpredictable as he is evil in his machinations. Therefore, it is essential that we know more before we proceed. I have had an idea that may allow us to cheat our inability to see behind the lady... I gather she is unable to turn and look and in any case, were she to do so, it might trigger something we do not wish to trigger. My thought is to transport a small mirror into her hands and encourage her to reflect to us as subtly as possible what stands behind her, so that we can prepare the best possible treatment for the condition/situation in which she finds herself. The value of such information is immeasurable." "Lady Purist believes this is a wonderful idea, though she asks for a few moments to prepare - a concession to the stiffness that decades of stillness has produced in her mind and body. She tells us that even if she wanted to, she would be hard pressed to confront her wardens. She has, she explains - in order to eclipse the pain and fear of her predicament - created what she is calling a "country of the mind."  The land of Green Eggs and Ham, she calls it. She borrowed it from an earth story her father read to her many years ago."  "Let her know that we await her command and commend her on her strength and resilience... and that we hope she will be rewarded with freedom very soon."

My mini:

Thus saying, the wizard turned to Paraphrase and asked. "When I transport the mirror, my friend, do you think you could create some subtle, natural event to distract the attention of whatever warders stand behind Lady Purist in hopes that they will not notice the arrival of our gift to their prisoner.  I'm thinking of some typical event like a small rock slide or perhaps a mild earth tremor.... "A tremor perhaps," the dragon replied, "and I am thinking that it is time to return the Paragon and Painter Perfidy to our midst. While we engage in our united intrusion and distraction, the painter could use his skill to provide us a concealed entrance to the Lady's prison and perhaps come up with some treatment that would protect the lady from harm when we finally breach the space.  "When this rescue is done, my dragon friends," the wizard said, bowing to each of the gathered dragons in turn, "I believe the Society of Wizards will be obliged to offer up an official Order of Concession, that Dragon-kind should be included as an Order of Wizards. You know I have long thought such a concession was due, but your actions here make impossible to deny you that right any longer. But politics later. Let us finish this task first and celebrate later. I raise the issue only as a way to express my gratitude for your presence and your collective skill and wisdom along this entire journey.

And the 10-word:

"I second and encourage that suggestion," the Paragon of Virtue chimed in, re-entering the cave with the painter in tow. "Afraid we have been eavesdropping on all of you. The is no question that the value of dragon help and dragon wisdom certainly eclipses the pitiful efforts of this Paragon. You are the most wonderful, kind and noble beings I have ever encountered and should not be cheated of recognition because of the vanity of human hubris. You have been essential to the success of every aspect of this journey.  On another subject, I wanted to to offer up an idea that popped into my brain when Lady Purist mentioned Green Eggs and Ham. It occurred to me that perhaps Mr. Perfidy could paint her into the book temporarily - with her permission, of course - to protect her from harm while we charge whatever monsters await us in there. It is a work very familiar to me and I have shared my memory of the work in great detail with Mr. Perfidy and he believes he could create a world quite pleasant and enchanting for the Lady. It would protect her from harm while we do battle and in case we fail in our efforts, it would be an improvement for her from her present situation and would keep her safe until those who would come after us could accomplish her rescue.  I don't know if it is a good idea, but if we can pull it off, it would take away the enemy's greatest power - their ability to harm she whom we are here to rescue. What do you think?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Words for next week's 10-word challenge:  split, verdict, light and shadow, wrestle, soft breeze, challenge, argument, teen-agers, stripes, eggs
And for the mini: combine, slice of cake, "pray, do tell," silence, layers
Thanks you for playing.  Newcomers can check here for some guidelines to make the game more fun. There are no rules, just some general guidelines and tricks.
Daily Reminder # 661
It turned cold again today.  It's mid May and the temperatures were in the 40s and it was raining. Yuck.  On the up side, everybody's favorite chipmunk agreed to share his striped adorability with his fans yet again.  He really is exceedingly cute.  I thought I'd let Neale Donald Walsch and God do the rest.  Tonight's message is short but right on target for the person for whom I created these Daily Reminders.
On this day of your life, dear friend,
I believe God wants you to know...
...that nothing has to happen immediately,
this minute, or "right now."
It's okay to pause for just a moment. \
Just take a breath.
Then go quietly inside.
Ask Life Itself to lead you to
your best outcome.
There's nothing you have to do,
really, except get out
of your own way.
... know what I mean?
Love, Your Friend....
neale
WISHING YOU A SPLENDID DAY!
Daily Reminder # 660
My apologies.  Doing a lot of reiki and kind of forgot to do the blog last night. Still doing reiki this morning, so I will just ask for your prayers for the following
Johanna M. - who had a mastectomy this morning. (Just got word that she came through the surgery well and is on to phase two... reconstruction.)
A 16-year-old puppy named Akya whose heart is failing and her person Kate
A kitty of unknown age named Red.
 WISHING YOU A WONDERFUL DAY!
